NXT Stand and Deliver 2024 was the first PPV of the WrestleMania 40 weekend. It was held at the Wells Fargo Center in front of more than 16,000 fans. This was the most-attended NXT show ever. The matches were great, and it was the perfect start to the weekend. The NXT superstars left it all in the ring, and now a new era in NXT has started. 

Let’s look at the results of NXT Stand and Deliver 2024.  

Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker beat Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the NXT Tag Team Championship

This was the first match of the show, and it was an absolute banger of a tag team match. The wrestlers in this match knew that they were the ones who had to set up WrestleMania 40 weekend perfectly. This match was 11:30 minutes long, and all four wrestlers were at their best. Axiom and Nathan Frazer were fast at attacking the champions, but Bron Breakker used his freakish athleticism to get the upper hand. This was the best match in the career of Baron Corbin. They retained the tag team titles, and they are undefeated.

Oba Femi beat Dijak and Josh Briggs for the NXT North American Championship

This was one of the best Triple Threat matches to happen in NXT history. There have been many big-man matches, but this was one where all three men knew that they had a point to prove. Oba Femi is an unbelievable wrestler, and he has just wrestled for a few months. Dijak and Josh Briggs were able challengers, and the match went for 15 minutes. They beat each other with everything, and there was a lot of physicality. They set the bar very high for everyone else. Oba Femi retained his championship.

Fallon Henley, Thea Hail, and Kelani Jordan beat Jacy Jayne, Kiana James, and Izzy Dame

This was a six-woman match where there were two teams. These six women knew that they were in a tough spot, but they used every minute they had with them. They had a 12-minute match, and all six women got the time to shine, and they hit each other with big moves. In the end, it was Thea Hail who got the win for her team. The women in NXT are the best in the world, and it was announced at the show that a brand new NXT Women’s North American Championship would be introduced as a midcard title for the women.

Roxanne Perez beat Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship

Before this match, it was announced that Giulia had signed with WWE, and she was shown to the crowd, who gave her a great reaction, which made her emotional. It was the first big match of WrestleMania 40 weekend where a title changed hands. It was an excellent match between Lyra Valkyria vs Roxanne Perez. It was a 16+ minute match where both the women gave their all. Lyra Valkyria had an injured arm, and Roxanne Perez took full advantage of it. These women showed everyone that they deserved this spotlight in front of 16,000+ fans. Roxanne Perez tapped Lyra Valkyria out and became the champion.

Ilja Dragunov beat Tony D’ Angelo for the NXT Championship

It was the co-main event of the show, and it was for the NXT Championship. This was the longest match of the show, as it went for over 17 minutes. Ilja Dragunov has been one of the best NXT champions ever. This was the biggest opportunity for Tony, and he did not disappoint. He proved that Shawn Michaels was right by giving him the spot at the biggest show of the year. They traded big moves, and in the end, it was the experienced Ilja Dragunov who retained his NXT Championship. Now the next chapter of his reign will begin.

Trick Williams beat Carmelo Hayes

It was finally time for the main event of the show, and it was the first two black men to main event a PPV during WrestleMania weekend. They both made awesome entrances, but the match was a short one as they went for 14+ minutes. However, the match was incredible. They told such a good story of Carmelo being far more experienced during these situations. Trick Williams grew in this match, and they hit each other with big shots, and the fans were going crazy for him. Trick Williams beat Carmelo Hayes, and it looks like he will be the top guy in NXT.
