NXT Deadline was the last NXT PPV of the year. This is the show where the Two Iron Survivor Matches take place. This is the match which is held for 25 minutes and the wrestler with the most pinfalls in the match will win and become the number 1 contender for the NXT Championship. There were a total of 5 Matches on the show.
Let’s look at the Results for NXT Deadline 2024
Oba Femi beat Wes Lee, Je’Von Evans, Nathan Frazer and Ethan Page in Men’s Iron Survivor Match
The first match on the show was the Men’s Iron Survivor Match. This was one of the most anticipated matches on the show. Wes Lee and Je’Von Evans started the match. Both men had 5 minutes to hurt each other and they showed their high flying prowess. Wes Lee used his heel tactics to pin Wes Lee using the ropes. Ethan Page arrived in the match and he was immediately pinned by Nathan Frazer. After serving his time in the penalty box, Ethan Page pinned Nathan Frazer. The four men were wrestling when it was time for the 5th man and it was Oba Femi. The match changed completely. Oba Femi pinned Je’Von Evans for his first fall. Evans was not here to be ragdolled as he hit Wes Lee with a Springboard cutter for his first fall. Ethan Page used his smarts as he pinned Oba Femi after the other 3 men had done the damage. Oba Femi won the match and he is the number 1 contender. This was a Banger. Oba Femi scored 3 falls which was more than the 2 that Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page got.
Lola Vice beat Jaida Parker in an NXT Underground Match
This was one of the two women’s matches on the show. This was an NXT Underground Match between two of the fiercest women in NXT. This was 11 minutes of these two women showing that they will do anything to hurt each other. Jaida Parker hit a vicious spinning elbow but was not able to win. Lola Vice used her MMA experience and she hit Jaida Parker with a spinning kick and then she applied the submission to Jaida Parker out. Lola Vice has cemented the NXT Underground Match as her own. She can now challenge Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
Nathan Frazer and Axiom beat No Quarter Catch Crew for NXT Tag Team Championship
This was the second match for Nathan Frazer in this show. He had his nose and ribs bandaged and the challengers took full advantage of this. Nathan Frazer was not able to focus clearly on this match and he had to tag out to Axiom. Tavion Heights suplexed Nathan Frazer over the top rope which made his injury worse. Axiom had to break multiple pinfall attempts including a Dropkick and Powerbomb combination on Nathan Frazer. No Quarter Catch Crew got their opportunity to shine and this was 15 minutes and 30 seconds of great tag team wrestling. Axiom hit a Canadian Destroyer on Tavion Heights and then rolled up Myles Bourne for the win. It is unclear as to who will dethrone Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
Trick Williams beat Ridge Holland for NXT Championship
This was the weakest match on the card. This match was 16 minutes but this did not feel like an NXT Championship Match. Trick Williams had an injured neck and Ridge Holland took full advantage of it in the first half of the match. Ridge Holland teased doing to Trick Williams what he did to Big E a number of years ago and broke his neck. Ridge Holland hit his finishing move The Redeemer but Trick Williams kicked out. The crowd was getting invested in this match but the finish fell flat as Trick Williams won the match. He will now focus all his attention on Oba Femi.
Giulia beat Stephanie Vaquer, Zaria, Sol Ruca and Wres Sinclair in Women’s Iron Survivor Match
The best women in NXT all in one match along with a young Wres Sinclair who got this well deserved opportunity. Tiffany Stratton who is the Money in the Bank winner teased getting involved in NXT going forward. Guilia and Wres Sinclair started the match and it was a technical wrestling match. Sol Ruca joined in and the action started to pick up. Giulia got the first fall of the match when she hit the Northern Lights Bomb to Wres Sinclair. Sol Ruca showed her incredible athleticism when she hit a 450 Lariat and then followed it up with a rolling back MoosSault in one go. Zaria entered the match and she changed it with her power. Giulia and Sol Ruca teamed up to powerbomb her through the announcers table. Zaria heat Guilia with the F5 to get the fall. The defining moment of the match was when Guilia and Stephanie Vaquer wrestled. Guilia hit a Suplex. The ending of the match was chaotic as Stephanie Vaquer and Wres Sinclair got quick falls. This was 25 minutes of incredible women’s wrestling. Guilia won the match as she has 2 falls as compared to the one fall of all the other women.
