The last PPV of the year for WWE is in the books and it was once again a very good show with lots of quality Matches on the card. The wrestlers were determined to make this the best show possible and they delivered. A crowd of almost 5000 fans was watching and millions were watching at home. There were a total of 7 Matches on the show.
Let’s look at the NXT Deadline 2023 Results:
Axiom Beat Nathan Frazer
This was the kickoff match but the match was exceptional. Shawn Michaels gave them time to cook and tell a great story. Axiom vs Nathan Frazer is a match that will main event WWE PPVs in the next 4 years and now they are just testing them to see if they can hang and boy did they Excel. They had a 11 minute match and the crowd was going wild for them. In the end it was Axiom who won the match.
Dragon Lee beat Dominik Mysterio for NXT North American Championship
Before this match Shawn Michaels came to the ring to introduce the fans to the show and after that it was CM Punk whose music hit and the crowd went wild for him. He was wearing a pink Bret Hart hoodie and they hyped everyone for the show. They even clicked a selfie. And after that it was time for the first match and this was a one on one match and Dragon Lee was in his element and Dominik Mysterio had a good one. They went bell to Bell for 10 minutes and Dominik Mysterio showed that he has improved so much in the ring. However, Dragon Lee beat Dominik Mysterio and won the NXT North American Championship. However this year has been great for Dominik and he is the MVP of WWE in 2023.
Blair Davenport wins the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge
It was time for the first of the 2 Iron Survivor Challenge Matches and it was between the 5 best women of WWE. It was between Blair Davenport vs Tiffany Straton vs Lash Legend vs Kelani Jordan vs Fallon Henley. This was a 25 Minutes Match and all the women in this match had something to prove. Lash Legend was the star in this match as she got 2 falls and all the fans got to see why she is a special talent. Then Blair Davenport went on her streak as she showed that she was the best woman as she got 3 pinfalls in this match. She won the Iron Survivor Challenge after 25 minutes and now she is the number 1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Cora Jade returned after this match and everyone was happy.
Carmelo Hayes beat Lexis King
This was yet another great match on this show . It looked like Shawn Michaels was on a mission to deliver the best show possible. This match was between Carmelo Hayes vs Lexis King. Carmelo Hayes is one of the faces of NXT and this was the first big match for Lexis King. They both delivered and had a 11 minute match. The crowd was firmly behind Carmelo Hayes even though he is accused of betraying Trick Williams. Carmelo Hayes moves were better than Lexis King tonight. Carmelo won this match and proved that he is him.
Trick Williams wins the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge
This was easily the best match of the night and this was the match that had the fans at the edge of their seat. It was the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge between Trick Williams, Dijak, Josh Briggs, Bron Breakker and Tyler Bate. This was also a 25 Minutes Match and a total of 15 pinfalls happened in this match which is mind blowing. Dijak, Bron Breakker and Tyler Bate were dominating the early part of this match and got 3 pinfalls each. They showed why they are some of the best in the world. 5 minutes were left and Trick Williams had no pinfalls but the next 5 minutes were all about Trick Williams. He got 4 falls in 5 minutes and won this match and he is the new number 1 contender for the NXT Championship
Kiana James beat Roxanne Perez in a Steel Cage Match
This was the co main event of the show and it was a steel cage match. The 2 women hated each other and it showed in this match. They went all out and they beat each other badly. Shawn Michaels gave the women a lot of time as they had a 11.30 minutes match. Kiana James had her best match and she was the one that pinned Roxanne Perez. This was a big win for Kiana James and Roxanne Perez should move to the main roster now.
Ilja Dragunov beat Baron Corbin for NXT Championship
This was the main event of the show and this was the best singles match in the career of Baron Corbin. He has found his groove in NXT and Ilja Dragunov is one of the best in the world. They had a 21 minutes banger and it was back and forth between these 2. It looked like Baron Corbin would win but Ilja Dragunov held his nerve and won the match. After the match Trick Williams walled out to the stage but Carmelo Hayes was standing behind him.
