Melo is one of the best in the WWE and certainly the best in NXT and this is the reason why he is the NXT Champion and he has been the face of NXT for the entire 2 years that the brand has seen this new image. 2) Wes Lee
At number 2 is the current NXT North American Champion in Wes Lee. Wes Lee has had a resurgence in the last year and he has already become the longest Reigning NXT North American Champion of all time and is closing in on 300 days as Champion. Wes Lee has had so many title defenses and he is getting better and better and Shawn Michaels trusts him a lot and soon he will in the main event scene competing for the NXT Championship in the next year or so. She is just 21 and she has already achieved so much in NXT as she has won the NXT Women’s Championship as well as the NXT Women’s tag team titles and she is only getting better and she is a teacher for all those wrestlers who want to get better and there are so many young talented women in NXT who are getting better and on the level of Roxanne Perez. The NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Straton is the best example if improvement and Roxanne Perez has 20 years of wrestling in WWE in front of her and she will become one of the greatest of all time.

4) Ilja Dragunov
There cannot be a Top 5 list of the best wrestlers in NXT and not have Ilja Dragunov on that list because he is that damn good. Ilja Dragunov is like the Gunther of NXT and he has the most hard hitting matches of all and he can have a barn burner with anyone on the Roster and it is way over time that he wins a championship in NXT and he will become an incredible champion and in the main roster a Feud against Gunther awaits.
5) Tiffany Straton
At number 5 is the current NXT Women’s Champion and she is in this list because she is the single most improved NXT superstar in the past few years and now she has become so good that everyone wants to be in the ring with her and she can have a long match against anyone and as NXT Women’s Champion she will keep getting better in the ring and having matches with the best women in the world and by the time she goes to the main roster she will be ready for the top .
