5. Mitchell Starc:
Australian left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc is one of the best bowlers in the modern cricket world. In the IPL 2024 auction, Kolkata Knight Riders spent a record bid of INR 24.75 crore to bring Starc to the team. In his 41 IPL matches, Starc delivered 138.3 overs to concede 1137 runs while picking up 51 wickets. His IPL bowling average till the 2024 season is 22.29.

4. Kagiso Rabada:
South African pacer Rabada is one of the best bowlers of this time. His amazing bowling spells brought a lot of success for his teams. In the list of best bowling averages in IPL history, unsurprisingly Rabada is also among the top bowlers. Rabada has delivered 303 overs in his 80 IPL matches where he has conceded 2570 runs and taken 117 wickets. His bowling average till the IPL 2024 is 21.96.
3. Rashid Khan:
Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has dominated in most of the cricket matches. In any condition, his leg spin provides useful returns for his team. In his IPL career, Rashid has played 121 matches, where he has bagged 149 wickets by conceding 3252 runs. His bowling average in the IPL is 21.82.
2. Imran Tahir:
Although Pakistan-born South African legspinner Imran Tahir was introduced to international cricket at a late age, he shined with his powerful bowling performances in all cricket formats. After playing 59 IPL matches, Tahir bagged 82 wickets after conceding 1703 runs, which made his bowling average of 20.76.

1. Lasith Malinga:
Former Sri Lankan right-arm pacer Lasith Malinga was undoubtedly one of the greatest pacers of all time. He has many records in his name in IPL as well as international matches. At his retirement, Malinga was the highest wicket-taker in the history of IPL. In his 122 IPL matches, he bowled a total of 471.1 overs. Malinga took 170 IPL wickets while he conceded 3365 runs which made his bowling average 19.79.
