Gardens (Kolkata) on Tuesday (16 April) night, Rajasthan Royals stunned with a
successful chase. Rajasthan Royals’ legend Jos Buttler once again blasted during
the most important moment, and his match-winning century broke Chris Gayle’s
record for the most IPL centuries by an overseas cricketer.
After Rajasthan Royals chose to
field first, Sunil Narine’s maiden T20 century guided KKR to their strong total
of 223/6 in 20 overs. Narine scored 109 runs off 56 balls with 13 fours and six
sixes.
In reply, while the opener, Jos
Buttler, fought hard till the end, he got some key support from Riyan Parag
(34 off 14 balls; four fours and two sixes) and Rovman Powell (26 off 13 balls;
one four and three sixes).
Buttler was powerful in the
entire chase as he completed his century in 55 balls. With his 107 not out in
60 balls (nine fours and six sixes), Rajasthan Royals managed to chase a
224-run target on the final ball of the match.
