10. M S DHONI (75 innings):
CSKs most prominent face since the beginning, MS Dhoni is still one of the fastest to reach the milestone of 2000 runs in IPL. MSD achieved this milestone on 25th April 2013 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai in his 75th innings. Dhoni played a crucial knock in the match and scored unbeaten 67 to take his side above the victory line in the chase as he reached this milestone of 2000 runs in just 75 innings.
09. SHIKHAR DHAWAN (74 innings):
Shikhar Dhawan, one of the consistent players of IPL has achieved this milestone in 74 innings while playing for Hyderabad on 08 May 2014 against Rajasthan Royals. He smashed 33 runs off just 20 balls and has crossed this 2000 run mark in IPL and contributed to a total score of 134 for his team. Even though the score was chasable, RR was bowled out for 102 giving away the win to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

08. AJINKYA RAHANE (71 innings):
Rahane, one of the most prominent players of IPL in the past , was also a run machine in his era. He crossed 2000 runs in just 71 innings while playing for Rajasthan Royals in 2015 against Delhi Daredevils. In the match RR batted first and courtesy to Rahane's show with the bat, by smashing 91 off 54 balls, the team had 189 in the scorecard. Rahane was the star on that evening, and RR won by 14 runs, while Rahane crossed his 2000 run mark in the IPL.
07. VIRENDER SEHWAG (70 innings):
Virender Sehwag, former India opener known for his aggressive and flamboyant batting style was also a top scorer in IPL. He surpassed the mark of 2000 runs in his 70th innings while playing for Delhi against Mumbai in 2013. He smashed the bowlers making it look so easy while chasing a score of 161 set by Mumbai. He scored 95 runs unbeaten off just 57 balls by hitting 15 glorious boundaries in the chase and helped Delhi win the match.

06. SURESH RAINA (69 innings):
Raina, known as Mr. IPL was CSKs best batsman and fielder for many years, till 2021. He was also one of the key players for CSK and has played many match winning knocks for his team. Suresh Raina reached this milestone in his 69th innings against Delhi on 04 May 2012. He scored 33 off 20 balls to help CSK post 160, which Delhi failed to chase and Csk won by 10 runs.
05. GAUTAM GAMBHIR (68 innings):
Gambhir, known for his calm and sensible approach while playing was one of the major players for KKR in the past. Gambhir reached this milestone on 10 April 2012 in the league stage match against RCB. Gautam Gambhir batted sensibly and scored 64 off 39 balls smashing 10 boundaries during the play. He reached his 2000 runs in this match which was his 68th innings in IPL and helped team post a total of 165 and RCB was restricted to 123 and helped KKR win the match.

04. SHANE WATSON ( 64 innings):
Shane Watson, former Australian cricketer was part of IPL for a longer time and was an excellent opener. He had crossed this milestone in his 64th innings in IPL while playing for Rajasthan against CSK in Ranchi. On May 13, 2014 RR batted first and courtesy to Shane Watson's knock of 52 off just 36 balls, they posted 148/8 but CSK chased it down and his contribution went for a losing cause.
03. SACHIN TENDULKAR (63 innings):
Sachin Tendulkar, known as Master Blaster by his beloved fans and cricketing fraternity was one of the soothing sights to watch while batting. He was part of Mumbai Indians and has played many crucial knocks over the years for the franchise. He touched the mark of 2000 runs in his league stage match against RR on 20 May 2012. After batting first, RR had put up 162 on board, and it was chased by Mumbai without loss of wicket, by the knock of Sachin with unbeaten 59 off 51 balls and by building an opening partnership of 163 runs with Dwayne Smith.

02. SHAUN MARSH (52 innings):
Shaun Marsh, has been one of the versatile players in IPL. He touched 2000 runs while playing for Punjab against Rajasthan. RR had posted a mammoth total of 191 and Punjab did very well to chase this down, with a crucial contribution from Marsh. Marsh smashed 65 off 40 balls with 8 boundaries to take Punjab to the victory line and they got to 191. His efforts paid off, as they won super over to win the match.
01. CHRIS GAYLE (48 innings):
Chris Gayle, The Universe Boss has been one of the consistent, aggressive and super strikers of IPL. He is the fastest player to reach 2000 runs mark in IPL. He achieved this milestone in just 48 innings at a very brisk rate. He achieved this while playing for RCB against Delhi on 2013 May 13th, in their home ground at Bengaluru. Gayle smashed a quick fire of 13 off 9 balls before getting out, but has already crossed 2000 runs. RCB won the match in the super over against Delhi on that day.
