Former Indian Captain Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the best batters has ever seen. He is very famous for his match-winning batting performances as well as his temper on the field. It is no wonder to know the name of Virat Kohli in the list of the IPL season toppers in the batting category. During the IPL 2024, the right-handed batter scored 741 runs in 15 matches for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, including one century and five half-centuries.

Former Australian cricketer David Warner is one of the most brutal left-handed batters of his generation. He not only bats aggressively, but the left-handed opening batter also has the incredible ability to play big knocks consistently. During the IPL 2016, when Sunrisers Hyderabad won their first IPL trophy, their captain Warner scored 848 runs in 17 innings, including recording nine half-centuries.

English cricketer Jos Buttler is one of the greatest and furious batters in the modern generation. When he comes to bat, the bowlers can't stay in relief until his dismissal as Buttler usually moves the scoreboard faster for his team. During the IPL 2022, Buttler scored 863 runs with an average of 57.53 and a strike rate of 149.05. The right-handed batter hit four hundreds and four fifties in that IPL season. 



4. Shubman Gill

Indian cricketer Shubman Gill has emerged as a top-class batter in the modern generation. During the IPL 2023, Gujarat Titans' star Gill scored 890 runs in 17 matches with an average of 59.33 and a strike rate of 157.80. The right-handed batter hit three hundreds and four fifties in that season. It is the second most runs for a batter in a single T20 tournament.

During the IPL 2016, Kohli recorded 973 runs in 16 games along with four centuries and seven half-centuries. It is still the most runs by a batter in a single T20 tournament.
