The Indian Premier League (IPL) has not only produced great explosive batters but has also introduced some outstanding bowlers who like to dominate the batters. In the top level of fast-moving cricket matches, like the T20 format, maiden overs are not regularly seen. However, there are some bowlers who have delivered some useful maiden overs multiple times in the IPL.


Here, we are going through the record of bowlers with the most maiden overs in IPL history.

Sandeep Sharma has played in a total of 127 IPL matches and has bowled a total of 470.2 overs. In his IPL career, Sharma has delivered eight maiden overs and picked up 137 wickets.

Former Sri Lankan right-arm pacer Lasith Malinga was one of the greatest cricketers ever played in IPL history. At his retirement, Malinga was the leading wicket-taker in tournament history. In his 122 IPL matches, the yorker king picked up 170 wickets. While he delivered 471.1 overs in his IPL career, Malinga recorded eight maiden overs.

Indian cricketer Dhawal Kulkarni played in a total of 92 IPL matches till 2021. In his IPL career, he bowled for a total of 297.5 overs and took a total of 86 wickets. The right-arm medium pacer also delivered eight maiden overs.

Indian right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah is one of the greatest bowlers in every format. The pacer is always unstoppable against any batter in any situation of every cricket match. In his 133 IPL matches, Bumrah picked up 165 wickets after delivering 508.5 overs, including eight maiden overs.

One of the best all-rounders ever played for India, Irfan Pathan played 103 IPL matches. He was very well known for his explosive batting as well as amazing bowling performances. In his 103 IPL matches, Pathan bowled a total of 340.3 overs, including 10 maidens.

New Zealand left-arm pacer Trent Boult is one of the greatest left-arm pacers. Slowly and steadily he improved himself to become a master with any balls. In his 104 IPL matches, Boult delivered 389.3 overs and picked up 121 wickets. The left-arm pacer has recorded 11 maiden overs in the IPL.

Praveen Kumar was one of the best pacers in this game. He was very well known for his amazing bowling spells, especially with the new balls. He was also the first bowler in IPL history to deliver 14 maiden overs as he is still jointly holding the record for most maiden overs in the IPL. In his 119 IPL matches, the right-arm pacer delivered 420.4 overs.

Indian right-arm pacer Bhuvenswar Kumar is on the joint top place in this list with 14 maiden overs in IPL career. Till IPL 2024, he delivered 651.4 overs in his 176 IPL matches.
