Former Indian captain Virat Kohli created another history in his career as he now became the first batter to score 7000 T20 runs for a team. The leading T20 run-scorer as an Indian (10582 runs) now recorded more than 7000 T20 runs for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
The 33-year-old right-handed batter Virat Kohli is currently serving for RCB in the IPL 2022. Last Thursday (19th May) night, RCB faced Gujarat Titans (GT) in their crucial game of this IPL season at Wankhede Stadium. While this 67th match of the IPL 2022 was the most-winning game for RCB to stay in this competition, they managed to achieve that result.
After GT managed to score 168/5 in the first 20 overs of the match, RCB chased down that target in 18.4 overs after losing only two wickets. While the RCB skipper Faf du Plessis scored 44 runs off 38 balls, their former captain Kohli scored 73 runs off 54 balls (8 fours and 2 sixes) as he had a 115-run partnership with Du Plessis for the opening wicket.
Also, Glenn Maxwell fired up with 40 not out off 18 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes.
