Which is the best team in IPL history? – The debate for this question has never ended since the IPL inaugural edition. It was in 2008 when the BCCI successfully staged the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Following its massive response from fans, BCCI continues to host the famous T20 league without skipping any season. India strongly hosts the IPL every year. However, due to some reasons, the IPL hosting was shifted to other nations for several seasons. South Africa hosted the IPL 2009 due to the Indian general elections. For the same reason, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) hosted the first part of the IPL 2014, while the second half was played in India.
During the COVID-19 pandemic situation, BCCI hosted the entire IPL 2020 and the second half of the IPL 2021 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Though cricketers play the league with great sportsmanship, the controversy for which is the best team in IPL history always remains in heat. One of the major reasons for this banter among the fans is due to their favorite players from all around the world getting featured in the various teams of the cash-rich league.
