Australian cricketer David Warner is currently busy scoring runs in the IPL 2022. The left-handed opening batter now became the first player to score 1000 IPL runs against two different teams.
The 35-year-old David Warner is now serving for the IPL team Delhi Capitals (DC), which was also his first IPL franchise from 2009 to 2013. Between 2014 and 2021, Warner also served for SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), where he led the team to win the IPL 2016 trophy.
Last Thursday (28th April) night, Delhi Capitals faced Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Wankhede where DC won by four wickets. While KKR scored 146/9 in 20 overs, DC chased down that target in 19 overs. Opener Warner played a vital role for DC in that game as the left-handed batter scored 42 off 26 balls with the help of eight fours.

David Warner has scored 1000 IPL runs against PBKS and KKR
During that game, Warner also completed his 1000 IPL runs against KKR. After that innings, he has scored 1018 IPL runs against KKR, which is also the joint-most IPL runs for a batter against KKR (Rohit Sharma has scored 1018 runs).
Warner’s 1000+ IPL runs vs KKR was the fourth time when a batter recorded 1000 IPL runs against a team. Apart from the Indian cricketers Shikhar Dhawan (1029 IPL runs vs Chennai Super Kings) and Rohit Sharma (1018 IPL runs vs KKR), Warner has achieved this feat twice. So, the Australian opener became the first cricketer to score 1000 IPL runs against two different teams.
Earlier, in this ongoing season, Warner became the first overseas cricketer to score 1000 IPL runs against a team as he has scored 1005 IPL runs against Punjab Kings (PBKS; previously known as Kings XI Punjab or KXIP).
