Sauber Motorsport, a team that changed its name and rebranded multiple times in the history of F1. The Swiss Formula 1 racing team was founded by Peter Sauber and entered into F1 in 1993. In 1997, Red Bull became the first title sponsor, with Petronas as a major partner. This was the moment when Red Bull first entered F1. After its existence in 2006, BMW signed a joint venture with the Sauber F1. Later on, this deal broke out in 2018, and Alfa Romeo purchased the team and rebranded it as Alfa Romeo Sauber Racing.

Currently, the team is owned by Stake Kick, as the majority of the shares were sold by Alfa Romeo in 2021.

1. Kick

After Alfa Romeo left Sauber, a streaming service called Kick brought 23% shares of the team in 2023 and became the premium title partner of Sauber for the 2024 season. This partnership gave rights to the streaming service Kick to position its branding on Sauber F1 cars. Kick also helped Sauber create large fan-based engagement through media synergy and set a new standard of live-streaming experiences.


2. Stake

In October 2023, Sauber and Alfa Romeo together announced a new multi-year partnership deal with entertainment and lifestyle brand Stake. In 2024, Stake became the premium title partner for Sauber motorsport. With this partnership, Stake paired to reach out to a large fan-based engagement and also decided to host various events for the fans globally during the race weekends. It also extended its agreement as a title partner for the 2025 season. Stake is the biggest contributor to the team with $33.3 million per year.


3. Code Zero

In 2023, Sauber Motorsport signed a new partnership deal with French clothing and accessories brand Code Zero. This business deal saw the two brands try to collaborate to launch a new online shop during race weekend in France. Sauber’s F1 cars were marked well with the logo of Code Zero. It also features on the cap and the apparel of racing drivers.


4. Edelweiss

Edelweiss, a Swiss travel airline brand, was a premium partner for the Alfa Romeo racing in 2021. In 2022, it became the official airline partner of the team. Edelweiss signed a new 2-year contract deal with the Stake Sauber F1 team when Alfa Romeo decided to leave the sport at the end of the 2023 season.


5. Singha Corporation

Thai brewery brand Singha Corporation signed a multi-year deal with Alfa Romeo way back in 2019. This deal was later extended after the existence of Alfa Romeo. With this partnership deal, the company expanded and diversified itself into a manufacturing and packaging unit.


6. Scania

In March 2024, Stake Sauber signed a new partnership deal with the commercial automotive brand Scania. This new deal will become the official supplier of the Sauber team for the 2024 season. Scania trucks will be used to transfer the supply chains and logistics of the F1 team during race weekends.


7. Extreme Network

Stake F1 has announced a new sponsorship deal with a California-based networking company. The Extreme Network solutions will help in providing high-bandwidth solutions during travel and race weekends. This partnership will make Extreme Network put its official logo on the suspension arms of the team F1 cars.


8. Mitsubishi Electric

Japan’s most decorated electronic company, Mitsubishi, is one of the oldest sponsorship partners for the team since its way back in the 2000s. Its electronics and electrical equipment have provided many technological traits to the team. Mitsubishi Electric was also named as the technological partner for the 2024 season.

In February 2019, Save the Children was announced as the official charity partner for the Sauber F1 team. Accellron is another technical partner for the Sauber F1 team. This high-performance engineering brand was announced as the official partner for the Sauber motorsport way back in 2022. With this partnership, the brand Accelleron provided technical expertise to Sauber’s race engineers to analyze data, insights, and progression via a technical dashboard.
