Both of these great players do not have only one dimension to their game as they both can bat and bowl equally well.

He is also very handy with the bat which makes him a proper all rounder for India. He has scored 3129 runs at an average of 26.97 with 5 test hundreds to his name. Ravichandran Ashwin still has a few years left in him and he will only get better.
Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja is the best all rounder in the world and only Ben Stokes from England comes close to him. He has also been playing for India for 11 years and in these 11 years he has been the star for India with both the ball and the bat. He has taken 259 test wickets from 62 Test Matches and he has taken 12 5 Wicket hauls in his career. He has made 2619 runs for India at a very good average of 36.88 with a top score of 175*. He is the best fielder in the world so that gives him extra points as well.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have become one of the best spin pairs in the history of test cricket and they have only played less than 50 test matches together and in those matches they have taken 460+ Wickets which means they have a combined 10 wickets a match average which is absolutely staggering. To have this kind of domination for such a long period of time and they were the joint men of the series vs Australia recently. India is extremely lucky to have them both playing at the same time in test cricket.
