During the last Super Four stage game in the Asia Cup 2023 between India and Bangladesh, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja created a new history for India. Jadeja became the first Indian left-arm spinner to complete 200 ODI wickets.
Although India suffered a narrow six-run defeat against Bangladesh in that game at Colombo (RPS), which was their first loss in the Asia Cup 2023, they already qualified for the tournament Final and finished on top of the Super Four points table.
Chasing down the 266-run target, India were all out for 259 runs in 49.5 overs. Opener Shubman Gill batted brilliantly by scoring 121 runs, while Axar Patel fought late with 42 runs.
