NXT Takeover Is the premium event in the NXT calendar and mostly there are 4 Takeover shows in a year where the best wrestlers in the world get to show off their skills and give the fans some of the best professional wrestling matches. It has been going on since 2014 and now in NXT 2.0 ,the new superstars would be hungry to prove that they are the best.
There have been a fair few superstars who have wrestled in multiple Takeover matches throughout their careers and produced some of their best matches throughout their careers. 1. Johnny Gargano (23 Matches):
Johnny Takeover himself had to be the number 1 on this list as he is the heart and soul of NXT for almost 5 years and his collection of the matches at Takeover are some of the greatest wrestling Matches in history. Although his win loss record at Takeover shows is not so great as he has only won 4 matches and lost a staggering 15 of them. The more important part is that the matches he had with Tomasso Ciampa were some of the most violent, The ones with Adam Cole were pure wrestling magic and his match with Andrade Cien Almas was perfection so he has given so many memories to all NXT fans and we wish him well in the next stage of his career and life.
2. Finn Balor (15 matches):
The records of Finn Balor and Johnny Gargano could not be more different from each other as Finn has won 14 our of the 15 matches he has wrestled in his NXT career and he was a Two time NXT Champion as well and he had amazing matches with Samosa Joe, Kyle O Reilly, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano etc. He beat every single one of them except Samoa Joe which is almost a 100% track record and his second reign with the NXT title was even better than the first and that says about the kind of wrestler Finn Balor truly is. Now he is pursuing his career once again in the main roster.

3. Adam Cole (15 Matches):
Adam Cole can be considered as the greatest NXT superstar of all time as in his 4 year stint at NXT,he achieved everything there is possible and kept having sensational matches along the way. He even formed the most dominant group in NXT history , Undisputed Era and their matches at Wargames will always be special for all NXT fans. His all time classics with Johnny Gargano and his blood feud with Kyle O Reilly was a treat to witness and he even was the first ever NXT North American champion. A truly great career.

4. Tomasso Ciampa (15 Matches):
Another one of the OG NXT greats who still to this point stamps his flat as the best in NXT 2.0, he started his NXT career along with Johnny Gargano as a part of the DIY and they both won the NXT Tag team titles and later in their careers they were involved in what is the greatest Rivalry in NXT history with 3 Takeover main event classics. He is such a phenomenal Wrestler and his promo work is second to none, hoping he continues to enthrall the NXT fans for years to come.

5. Kyle O Reilly (15 Matches):
Kyle O Reilly was one of the top NXT stars since the beginning like Adam Cole was , he was a tag team wrestler in the start and he was the tag team champion in the Undisputed Era with his other partners in the group. He had great Wargames matches for 4 years straight and later in his career , he pursued the singles path and showed everyone what a great solo wrestler he is and his Rivalry with Adam Cole was legendary and his NXT championship matches against Finn Balor was a wrestling masterclass everytime.
