Joe Root (England)
There is no doubt to see English star and former Test captain Joe Root’s name in the top position in this list. The right-handed English batter was highly consistent in the entire WTC 2021-2023 as he scored 1915 runs in 40 innings. He scored eight centuries and six half-centuries.
Root started the WTC 2021-2023 with three centuries and one half-century in the first five innings. During this competition, he thrice scored two consecutive centuries.

The left-handed opening batter Khawaja made his Test comeback in January 2022 after missing the format for more than two years. In his comeback game, Khawaja hit twin centuries (137 and 101*) against England in the Sydney Test and continued his solid form in the entire WTC competition.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam was in great form during the WTC 2021-2023. The right-handed batter finished this competition as the leading run-scorer among Asian cricketers by scoring 1527 runs in 26 innings. He hit four centuries and ten half-centuries in this tournament.
In this competition, Babar impressively maintained his consistent performance with the bat. He once recorded five consecutive 50+ scores, including two centuries, and another time managed four 50+ scores in five innings, including one hundred.

One of his best innings in the tournament was 121 runs against India during the first innings of the tournament's Final.
