Sarabjot Singh’s early life
Sarabjot Singh was born on 30th September 2001. He is from Dheen village in Ambala, Haryana. His father Jatinder Singh is a farmer, and his mother Hardeep Kaur is a homemaker.
In an interview with the Times of India, Sarabjot said he had a childhood interest in a football career. At the age of 13 years, he took the first air gun.

Junior career
In the Asian Championships 2019, Sarabjot won gold medals in 10m air pistol men junior (in Taoyuan) and 10m air pistol mixed team junior (in Doha). He also won a gold medal in the ISSF Junior World Cup 2019 in Suhl.
In the ISSF Junior Cup 2022, Sarabjot won the gold medal in the air pistol team men's junior event.
In the World Championships 2021 in Lima, Sarabjot won two gold medals in the air pistol team men’s junior and the 10m air pistol mixed team junior events.

In the Asian Games 2022, Sarabjot was among the Indian gold medalists in the 10m air pistol men’s team event (along with Sarabjot Singh and Shiva Narwal).
Sarabjot has already secured three gold medals in the World Cup, including two in individual events and one in a mixed team event (10m air pistol men in 2023 at Bhopal and in 2024 at Munich, and 10m air pistol mixed team in 2024 at Baku).

During the Asian Shooting Championships 2023 in Changwon, bronze medalist Sarabjot Singh secured India’s first Paris 2024 quota in the 10m air pistol men’s event.
In the four-stage national selection trials for the Paris 2024 Olympics, Sarabjot had a neck-to-neck battle with Arjun Singh Cheema, where Sarabjot (final average score was 582.43) edged Arjun (final average score was 582.37) to seal the top spot. Ultimately, both Sarabjot and Arjun will represent India in the upcoming Summer Olympics.
