Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma achieved a new milestone in his T20 career as he became the second overall but first Indian to hit 200 T20 sixes for Mumbai Indians (MI).
The 35-year-old Rohit Sharma reached the latest T20 milestone during the 51st IPL 2022 match between his Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans (GT) at Brabourne last Friday (6th May) night. After GT chose to bowl first, MI managed to score 177/6 in 20 overs. Later, GT scored 172/5 in 20 overs as MI won the game by five runs.

In the first innings, the skipper and opener Rohit scored 43 off 28 balls with the help of five fours and two sixes. While he started the game with 199 T20 sixes for MI, he reached the 200 T20 sixes milestone for this team with his first six of the evening. On the final ball of the second over of the match, Rohit smashed a sixer to Alzarri Joseph over midwicket to complete that milestone for his IPL team.

Caribbean cricketer Kieron Pollard was the first batter to hit 200 T20 sixes for Mumbai Indians. The right-handed batter has now hit 257 T20 sixes for this successful IPL team.
