The 29th Senior Women’s National Football Championship or the Rajmata Jijabai Trophy began on 5th October 2024 with the group stages. The tournament is participated by 31 teams divided into eight groups with Groups A to G consisting of four teams while H has three. Defending champions Manipur and runners-up Haryana received the bie to the Final Round. Eight group winners will join them following the conclusion of the group stages on 23 October 2024. The draw for the group stages was made on September 2, 2024.
Group A consists of Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh with the matches hosted in TMK Arena in Kerala. Group B games will take place in Nadia, West Bengal with Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir and Karnataka making the group alongside the hosts. Uttar Pradesh hosts Group C matches with Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Railways as the other members. Delhi, Maharashtra, Pondicherry, Andaman & Nicobar form Group D while E consists of Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand stage matches in Jaipur. Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, hosts Arunachal Pradesh, and Ladakh is drawn into Group F with Sikkim, Chandigarh, Gujarat and Tripura making Group G with the latter hosting the matches. Group H is the sole group with three teams Jharkhand, Telangana and Mizoram with the matches held in Siliguri, West Bengal.
