Bandodkar Trophy 2024 Squad List of Teams

The second season of the Bandodkar Trophy after its revival last year will get underway on 24 August 2024. The tournament will be played in a revamped format competed by eight teams. Four Goans including defending champions FC Goa of ISL, record tournament winners Dempo SC and Churchill Brothers from I-League and Goa Football League’s Sporting Club de Goa will participate in the contest. They are joined by two more ISL teams Chennaiyin FC and Odisha FC with foreign invitees in Brisbane Roar and Defensa y Justicia.

Only the Argentinian Premier Division outfit have sent their reserve team for the tournament. The rest will take the competition acting as the pre-season more seriously fielding their senior teams. Even A-League giants Brisbane Roar have brought their full team to Goa intending to win the trophy. This is an encouraging sign for the Indian clubs too as they will get to play against the best making it an ideal preparatory tournament with the leagues starting next month.
