NXT is the brand where the best Professional wrestling happens in WWE. Since 2014, the brand has the reputation of producing big stars in the wrestling scene in WWE and making them aware to a larger audience who might not have seen them in the independent circuit.
In 2014 , NXT introduced stars such as Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Bayley, Sasha Banks etc and more such wrestlers. They started doing shows called Takeover where they would have matches between various opponents and give them the opportunity to showcase how good they are. In the men Seth Rollins, Big E, Kevin Owens were some of the first stars to be made by NXT, Then more and more wrestlers from the independents came along like Finn Balor, Asuka, Shayna Baszler and from there the greatest NXT era was born with Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Tomasso Ciampa, Io Shirai as it’s main stars.
Takeover Magic :
NXT stars regularly started having all time classic matches at Takeover events and setting the standard for professional wrestling across the world. The first such match that comes to mind is Sasha Banks vs Bayley at NXT Takeover Brooklyn where they had the best women’s match ever and from that night women’s wrestling just grew and grew. Another match was Andrade Almas vs Johnny Gargano at NXT Takeover Philadelphia. Johnny Gargano became Mr Takeover and his rivalry with Tomasso Ciampa was the stuff of legends. Tag team wrestling during NXT was great as well as The Revival, DIY, Undisputed Era gave us great tag team wrestling all the time.

Departure of NXT 1.0
Starting from 2020, the stars of the original NXT started leaving NXT, most notably Adam Cole left NXT, then Keith Lee was let go, some went on to the main roster in Raw and SmackDown for greener pastures. The NXT brand was starting to get weak as so many of the originals were leaving and just recently the heart of that brand Johnny Gargano left NXT so it has been a tough time for the brand and they had to do something about it.
Birth of NXT 2.0
Starting earlier this year , NXT took a new path as they launched NXT 2.0 with new stars, new characters, new storylines and new matches. It was the time of the next generation of stars to show their talents and get noticed. And the talents did not disappoint as Bron Breakker , Tony D' Angelo , Toxic Attraction, Cora Jade made immediate impacts and impressed everyone with their talents in the ring and in the promo work as well. They recently won the Wargames match against the original NXT where along with the stars mentioned Grayson Waller also impressed and it was proved that the future of NXT is very bright.

The Women of NXT 2.0
The Women’s division of NXT 2.0 is very strong as is the case with every version of NXT. Toxic Attraction comprising of Mandy Rose, Gigi Dodin and Jacy Jade are at the top of the brand with them holding all the gold. Cora Jade is a very young and impressive talent and Zoey Stark, Indi Hartwell, Sarray are also performing at a very high level and managers like Elektra Lopez are also adding a lot to the women’s division so it is safe to say that they have a very bright future in NXT 2.0.
