CM Punk fired by AEW

The inevitable has happened. CM Punk has been fired from AEW. CM Punk should have never been brought back to AEW in the first place after what happened last year at the press conference. Last Sunday at Wembley Stadium, CM Punk crossed all limits and therefore he had to be let go. This thus brings to an end one of the most stressful and complicated wrestling partnerships in modern history. This whole CM Punk episode also shows the lack of leadership from Tony Khan who did not act before and he allowed it to go this long.

Let’s talk about the eventual firing of CM Punk and what led to it.

CM Punk is gone from AEW

Last Sunday at Wembley Stadium, CM Punk was involved in a bitter backstage incident involving Jack Perry and this incident was regrettable. Jack Perry had a match where he said that this was real glass and this irked CM Punk and he confronted Jack Perry when he got to the back. CM Punk pushed Jack Perry and the incident for worse as CM Punk attacked the production crew as well as threatened to attack Tony Khan who is the owner of AEW. This was the final straw because Tony Khan was tolerating all this nonsense because CM Punk was printing them money hand over fist.

After all this happened Tony Khan formed a disciplinary committee within AEW and also sought outside legal counsel to avoid any lawsuits in the future. They conducted a week-long investigation in this matter and came up with the recommendation to terminate the contract of VM Punk with cause. This follows from the infamous incident from last year when CM Punk got involved with The Elite which included Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. They were supposed to meet and sort out their issues this week but this happened. And CM Punk was involved in the most infamous press conference of all time as he went off on everybody and he has to leave AEW. Tony Khan made the biggest mistake bringing him back and this time he paid the ultimate price as no one is talking about AEW All in but everybody is talking about CM Punk.

Now after all this has happened some delusional fans in Twitter have started manifesting the return of CM Punk to WWE. This has almost zero chances of happening as Triple H does not want the walking controversy in WWE and WWE is very Well without him. WWE does not need to get their hands dirty with getting him back and CM Punk should never be near a wrestling ring until he controls his anger and stops thinking he is bigger than everybody else. What should have happened a year ago has finally happened but Tony Khan and AEW is the ultimate loser in all of this. Their biggest show ever just got ruined by CM Punk.
