One of the biggest AEW shows of the year Double or Nothing took place from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. This was the 5th Double or Nothing PPV for the company. There were a lot of great matches that were on this show. 7500+ fans were present at the show to enjoy great wrestling

Will Osperay beat Roderick Strong for AEW International Championship

This was the first match on the main show for Double or Nothing. This was the match for the AEW International Championship. This was between Will Osperay vs Roderick Strong. This was an incredible match as they are both technically excellent. This was a 18 minutes match and Will Osperay won the AEW International Championship. Will Osperay cannot have a bad match. After the match Adam Cole came to the ring to attack the champion but then MJF returned to a thunderous ovation and he took out Adam Cole.


Toni Storm beat Serena Deeb for AEW Women’s Championship

This was the next match and it was for the AEW Women’s Championship. This was a long match and these 2 women made full use of the 15 minutes they got. This was the first opportunity for Serena Deeb for the World Championship. Toni Storm has been on a roll and she had Mariah May in her corner. This was a very good match and a good showcase for women’s wrestling. Toni Storm won the match and her reign as the Timeless one will continue. This was the first of 3 Women’s Matches.


Deonna Purrazzo beat Thunder Rosa

This was the second women’s match in the show and for the first time at such a big Show the women had a non title singles match. This was a match between two respected women’s wrestlers and they got 11 minutes to have a good match. This was enough time for them to tell a good story and in the end it was Deonna Purrazzo who won the match. Tony Khan should give more such matches to the women in AEW. These 2 women should get more matches.


Orange Cassidy beat Trent Beretta

This was yet another singles match on this show that was not for a title. Double or Nothing is like the SummerSlam for AEW because it has been there since the start. This match was 14 minutes long. The good thing about Tony Khan is that he allows his talent to have long matches. Storytelling can only happen in long matches. This was a grudge match and it was very hard hitting. Orange Cassidy won the match.


Chris Jericho beat Hook and Katsuyori Shibata for AEW FTW Championship

This was a triple Threat match for the FTW Championship. This was one of the weakest matches on this show. The fans do not want to see Chris Jericho at any show. Hook and Katsuyori Shibata were good but they could not have done much in 13 minutes. This championship should be retired as there are too many titles in AEW.


Adam Copeland beat Malakai Black in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match

This was one of the best matches of the entire show. The entrances were amazing as Edge got his Brood entrance back. This was a barbed wire Steel Cage Match. Adam Copeland is nearing 50 years and he had this Banger. This was an all out physical match which was a showcase to all the young wrestlers who are afraid of such matches. Adam Copeland even after having achieved everything in his career can still take risks like these. This was a 20 minutes masterpiece.


Mercedes Mone beat Willow Nightingale for AEW TBS Championship

This was the comeback of Mercedes Mone and she wanted to have the best match. She was given a prime spot on the card. Her and Willow Nightingale were given 18 minutes to have a great match and they had an outstanding professional wrestling clinic. Mercedes Mone showed the world that she had not lost a step and she was here to stay and create an impact. Mercedes Mone was someone who the fans were eager to see and she delivered. Willow Nightingale also got a lot of time and she has Kris Statlander with her. This is what women’s wrestling is all about. There were 3 women’s wrestling matches.


Swerve Strickland beat Christian Cage for AEW World Championship

This was the co main event of the show. It was the match between Swerve Strickland vs Christian Cage. This was an opportunity for Swerve Strickland to have a barn burner against a legend in Christian Cage. They had a 25 minutes match where they both stole the show. Christian Cage is one of the best things about AEW. Swerve Strickland has been an incredible champion and he Is showing that he deserves this spot. This is a 5 star match that will elevate both men. The future is bright for Swerve Strickland.


The Elite beat Team AEW in the Anarchy in the Arena Match

This was the main event of the show and this was the best story going into the event. This was the match in which Team Elite was Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry and The Young Bucks vs Bryan Danielson, Darby Allin and FTR in Team AEW. Anarchy in the Arena matches are extremely fun and they happen once a year. This was the best one that they have ever done. This was a 28 minutes spot fest and the 8 men in this match wanted to show why they are the main event. All sorts of weapons were used and in the end Team Elite was too good and they got the win. Thus came an end to one of the best AEW shows.
