NorthEast United FC Fixtures for ISL 2023-24

NorthEast United endured a difficult campaign last time out. They finished bottom of the table and managed just a single victory after 20 games. Overall, collected merely five points making it the worst-ever tally recorded in league history. Going through significant changes for the upcoming season including a new manager Juan Pedro Benali in charge and reaching the semi-finals of the Durand Cup, the Highlanders expect a different outcome this time out.

Their curtain-raiser of the campaign will be against ISL Shield holders Mumbai City FC which is a tough beginning for them. However, the match being at Guwahati gives them a home advantage like against Chennaiyin FC in the next match. NorthEast’s first away trip comes against I-League winners and promoted side Punjab FC in October.

The Durand Cup semi-final rematch against East Bengal falls on 4th December 2023. The match in which the Kolkata side produced a dramatic comeback was marred by unfortunate incidents in the stands. The venue will be Salt Lake Stadium again. The Highlanders will be involved in the last game of the first half of the 2023/24 ISL season against FC Goa on 29th December 2023. The league will take a break after this due to the national team travelling to Qatar for the AFC Asian Cup in January next year.
