On his surprising Cricket World Cup debut edition, New Zealand cricketer Rachin Ravindra has stunned the cricket world. In another important schedule against Pakistan at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, Ravindra recorded his third century in the tournament. He became the first New Zealand cricketer to record three ODI World Cup centuries. Meanwhile, the left-handed batter also became the first cricketer to record three Cricket World Cup centuries on the ODI World Cup debut edition.
The 23-year-old left-handed top-order New Zealand batter Rachin Ravindra already scored two centuries at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 before their meeting against Pakistan in the league stage. While he scored the match-winning 123 not out off 96 balls against the defending champions England in the tournament opener, he scored 116 runs in 89 balls against the mighty Australians.
The left-handed batter Ravindra also recorded two more 50+ scores before the match against Pakistan.

In the match against Pakistan, New Zealand were sent to bat first. While the Blackcaps scored 401/6 in 50 overs, skipper Kane Williamson (95 runs in 79 balls) and centurion Ravindra (108 runs in 94 balls) had the important roles. This time Ravindra scored a century in 88 balls, which was his third century at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
With the century against Pakistan, Ravindra became the first New Zealand cricketer to hit three centuries in the Cricket World Cup history.
On the other hand, Ravindra also became the first batter to record three centuries on the debut ODI World Cup edition.
