Q. Who has scored the fastest century in World Cup history?



A. During the League Stage game against the Netherlands at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell smashed a 40-ball century to record the fastest ODI World Cup century. The right-handed batter hit nine fours and eight sixes to claim this record.

Earlier, in the same 2023 competition, South African cricketer Aiden Markram set up the previous record for the fastest century in Cricket World Cup history by completing his hundred in 49 balls against Sri Lanka.
