India earned one gold medal on the fourth day of the Asian Athletics Championships 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand. In the 4X400m mixed relay event, the Indian team won the crown by setting up a national record.
Rajesh Ramesh, Aishwarya Kailash Mishra, Amoj Jacob and Subha Venkatesan were the members of the successful Indian team in the 4X400m mixed relay. They took 3.14.70 seconds to complete that race as the winners. It is the new national record in the 4X400m mixed relay event, while the previous best was 3.15.71 during the Asian Games 2018.
At Bangkok, Sri Lanka (Aruna Dharshana, Tharushi Dissanayaka, Kalinga Kumarage and Nadeesha Ramanayaka) won the silver medal (3:15.41), and Japan (Kenki Imaizumi, Haruna Kuboyama, Fuga Sato and Nanako Matsumoto) claimed the bronze medal (3:15.71) in that in the 4X400m mixed relay event.
Aishwarya Kailash Mishra already shined in the Asian Athletics Championships 2023
Last Thursday (13 July), during the second day of the Asian Athletics Championships 2023, Aishwarya Kailash Mishra won a bronze medal in the women’s 400m final (53.07s). It was her first international event, which she enjoyed with success.
Now, Aishwarya celebrated with a gold medal in the 4X400m mixed relay with a national record.
