2023 has been one of the best years for WWE in its history and it will most likely continue in the years to come and WWE just like any other year has had some truly incredible Returns so far this year. This list might be updated at the end of the year. The returns in this list were truly shocking for the WWE universe. And it goes to show that the returns which have no reports about them beforehand.
Let’s look at the Top 5 Best WWE Returns in 2023 so far.
1) John Cena – WWE Money in the Bank
This has to be at the number 1 spot and there is very little chance that a more genuinely shocking return takes place in 2023. John Cena was done for this year after WrestleMania 39 and when the time came for Money in the Bank there were absolutely no reports as WWE did not tell anyone that he would be returning at the event. The show was in London and when the music of John Cena hit everyone at the arena and everyone watching at home lost their minds. WWE gave the fans a surprise for a lifetime and he talked about WrestleMania in London.
2) Carlito – WWE Backlash
The second best return of the year has to go to Carlito when he made his absolutely shocking return at WWE Backlash. The event was in Puerto Rico and WWE put on a show there. It was the match between Bad Bunny vs Damian Priest in a street fight and it was a great match. Rey Mysterio and Bad Bunny were at the receiving end of the beatdown by The Judgement Day and then came out Carlito and the place lost their minds. Carlito was looking better than ever. And he is rumored to be making a comeback to WWE.
3) Pat McAfee – WWE Royal Rumble
This was a return that even the commentators did not know about. It was kept so secretive that Michael Cole was shocked when he heard the music of his best friend. Pat McAfee was gone for from WWE for a long period of time. The fans wanted to see him back and just as the show started the music of Pat McAfee hit and the crowd gave him a great ovation. Pat McAfee has been one of the best things in WWE.
4) Shane McMahon – WrestleMania 39
This is a bittersweet return. The return itself was a shocker just like the others in this list. The Miz was rambling at WrestleMania and then the popular music of Shane McMahon hit and the fans lost their minds and the pop he got was truly incredible. However as he was running ne twisted his quad and he got severely injured and he has to be taken off in a stretcher but the return was truly one of the best all year.
5) Nia Jax- WWE Royal Rumble
There were not a lot of female Returns this year that were truly shocking. This was one that caught the fans by surprise as Now Jax was out of WWE. It was the Women’s Royal Rumble Match and at number 30 came out Nia Jax and everyone was shocked to see her. She did not get a big pop like the others in this list because she is not that beloved but the return was very well done by WWE and so it is the 5th best return of this year for WWE so far.
