5 recent Rumors about Roman Reigns

The Tribal Chief retained the Universal title at Crown Jewel after hitting Brock Lesnar with the Universal title belt. Lesnar then got himself suspended on the following episode of SmackDown.

A few spicy stories are waiting for you this week. We possibly now know the identity of Reigns' WrestleMania opponent. Vince McMahon also reportedly wants him to break one of Brock Lesnar's records.

There are also anecdotes about WWE management preferring Reigns to Bryan Danielson as the top guy and The Tribal Chief kicking a former Superstar out of the locker room.

Without any further ado, here are 5 recent news stories and rumors that you need to know about Roman Reigns:

1. Roman Reigns is expected to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38

Roman Reigns retained the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel through nefarious means, and it's quite evident that his feud with Lesnar is far from over. The issue surrounding Paul Heyman's allegiance is also still up in the air.

Brock Lesnar has been advertised to appear at Royal Rumble. Although we don't know the extent of his participation, Lesnar could always win the Royal Rumble and challenge Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania.

2. Roman Reigns to break Brock Lesnar's record and become the longest-reigning Universal Champion

Roman Reigns has been the Universal Champion for over a year, and there are no plans for him to drop the title anytime soon. According to a report from Wrestlingnews.co, Vince McMahon wants to continue pushing him to greater heights.

The plan is for Reigns to become one of the greatest champions of all time and eclipse Brock Lesnar's-504 day run with the Universal title. During his reign, The Tribal Chief has defeated some of the biggest names, including Daniel Bryan, Edge, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar.

3.  WWE preferred Roman Reigns to Bryan Danielson as the "top guy"

Bryan Danielson had an incredible run with WWE and established himself as one of the company's most beloved Superstars. He was part of many iconic moments. However, Vince McMahon was never committed to presenting Danielson as his biggest star.

Damian hit a clothesline and unloaded on T-Bar, slamming the chair back on him before sending him into the ring post. Back in the ring, Priest looked unhinged as he hit the Reckoning.

4. Dutch Mantell doesn't expect the fans to see Big E as a threat to Roman Reigns

As Survivor Series is expected to consist of numerous inter-brand matches, Big E will likely face Roman Reigns in a Champion vs. Champion match. Big E's title win was positively received, and he recently got a big win over Drew McIntyre at Crown Jewel.

However, Dutch Mantell isn't sure that he'll make a great opponent for Reigns. During the most recent episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Mantell stated that he didn't expect the audience to buy Big E as someone who could beat The Tribal Chief.

5. Roman Reigns kicked Enzo Amore out of the locker room

When Enzo Amore was still with WWE, Sports Illustrated reported that he had been kicked out of the locker room for a series of indiscretions. It now turns out that he was removed by none other than Roman Reigns. Amore once claimed that he was ejected after "punching a bully."

During an appearance on Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, former WWE referee Mike Chioda presented his version of the story.
