He is one of the greatest players to have ever played the game and arguably the greatest all rounder of all time. 2. Muttiah Muralitharan (19 MOTM Awards):
Arguably the greatest spinner ever and he holds the record for taking the most number of wickets in test cricket with 800 wickets. He is one of the greatest Sri Lankan players of all time. He has won numerous matches for Sri Lanka while bowling in test cricket. The fact that he won 19 player of the match awards as a spinner shows how great he was and how he bamboozled batsman across the world with his guile. All the future generations of spinners look up to him and try to emulate what he did for Sri Lanka.

3. Wasim Akram (17 MOTM Awards):
By far the greatest left arm fast bowler of all time and the king of swing is Wasim Akram. He was the ultimate match Winner for Pakistan in the 80s and the 90s. He took 414 wickets in test cricket at an incredible average of just over 23 which is phenomenal. The reverse swing which he got was amazing to see and his skills were second to none in world cricket.

4. Shane Warne (17 MOTM Awards):
Arguably the greatest leg spinner of all time. The way in which he dominated the batsmen and dismissed them with unplayable deliveries was special to see. He picked 708 wickets in his illustrious test career and won many matches for Australia on his own. He was a special talent from the moment he arrived on the international scene and his rivalry with Sachin Tendulkar was one for the ages. An our and out match winner.

5. Kumar Sangakkara (16 MOTM Awards):
Kumar Sangakkara was one of the greatest batters who ever played the game of cricket. His consistency was amazing and the long innings which he played for Sri Lanka was a thing or beauty. His partnership with Mahela Jayawardene was special for all cricket fans. He scored over 12000 test runs at an unbelievable average of over 57 , this shows how great of a batter he was and Sri Lanka was lucky to have him in their side for so many years.
