Australia: 28 Test series

After West Indies won the 1992/93 Test series in Australia, the hosts Australia maintained their Test series unbeaten streak for 15 years long as they were unbeaten in 28 home Test series. During that period, Australia drew only three home Test series and won 25 home Test series. Finally, South Africa handed them a home Test series defeat, which started in December 2008 and ended in January 2009.

India: 17 Test series

After suffering a stunning home Test series defeat against England starting in November 2012, which ended India’s 14 home Test series unbeaten streak, India were soon right back on track from February 2013 with a home Test series win against another big Test cricket side Australia and that too securing a whitewash in the four-match Test series. Since that series, India have maintained 17 home Test series unbeaten streak till March 2024. Team India is seriously challenging Australia’s unimaginable home Test series unbeaten streak record.

West Indies: 16 Test series

Here we can see a solid example of West Indies’ past dominance era in Test cricket. Between February 1974 and April 1994, West Indies recorded 16 home Test series unbeaten streak starting from a Test series draw against England and ending with a Test series victory against England. While Australia won a Test series in the West Indies in early 1973, they also ended the Caribbean’s home Test series unbeaten streak in April 1995.

Pakistan: 16 Test series

After losing a home Test series against West Indies in the 1980/81 season, Pakistan carried on 16 home Test series unbeaten streak from March 1982 to November 1994. It started with a home Test series victory against Sri Lanka and continued till Pakistan's home Test series win against Australia. Finally, in September 1995, visitors Sri Lanka broke that streak with a 2-1 series victory.

India: 14 Test series

India recorded their first 14 home Test series unbeaten streak between November 1987 and October 1999. After losing the home Test series against Pakistan in early 1987, India started their impressive home Test series campaign with a draw Test series against West Indies. India’s unbeaten home Test series streak continued till their home Test series win against New Zealand, while South Africa ended that streak in early 2000 with a 2-0 Test series victory.

India: 14 Test series

Between November 2004 and August 2012, hosts India once again recorded the 14 Test series unbeaten streak. The Test series journey began after Australia won a four-match Test series in late 2004. While India started their home Test series domination in this part with a Test series victory against South Africa, they maintained that with a Test series victory against New Zealand. Ultimately, England ended that unbeaten Test series streak for the hosts India with a 2-1 series win.
