Suyash Prabhudessai was born on 6th December, 1997. He plays for Goa in the domestic matches. He made his List A debut for Goa in the Vijay Hazare trophy in 2017. He is a right handed batsman and can bowl right arm pace.
In the 2019 auction, he went unsold and after that he worked hard on his finishing skills and batting strike rate. He was brave enough to admit his mistakes and made an attempt to rectify it which many of them don't bother to do. This shows the disappointment of not getting an IPL contract. This did not prevent him from losing his focus and goals. He continued to work hard on his skills. After a set of consistent performances, Royal Challengers Bangalore handed him the IPL contract. Finally, his hard work paid off. On 28 February, 2017, Suyash made his Vijay Hazare debut against Bengal in Chennai. He scored 27 runs on his debut match with a strike rate of 128.57. Next year, he made his Ranji debut against Haryana in Rohtak. He scored a combined total of 46 in two innings. On February 22,2019, he made his T20 debut for Goa but unfortunately he did not get the chance to bat or bowl. Although his team won that match on a personal note, he was unable to showcase his talents and catch the eyes of the selectors. In his T20 career so far, he scored 357 runs in 17 matches and took 10 wickets across all the formats. He averages 42.88 and 23.84 in First class cricket and List A respectively. In T20 cricket, his strike rate is 148.16 which is really impressive.
This year Suyash is playing for the franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore. We all hope, he gets his opportunity and makes full use of it. He can be a great asset for Faf du Plessis's men.
