The Japanese Grand Prix 2023 was held earlier today and it was a great race and some things remained the same and there were also first time podium finishes in this race. The Japanese Grand Prix was also a chance for one team to win the Constructors Championship. Max Verstappen had a chance to get back to winning form and this race was one where some experienced drivers had a bad day.

The race started and Max Verstappen takes the lead of the race and Lando Norris gets to P2. There was touching between Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton at turn 1. Lap 5 of the race and Max Verstappen takes the lead and Liam Lawson is in P9 ahead of Yuki Tsonuda. Lap 6 and both Mercedes battle for P7 and in the end it was Lewis Hamilton who took the place. Logan Sargeant has got an additional 5 second Penalty In top of a 10 second penalty before the race. It is Lap 10 and Sergio Perez has been handed a 5 second Penalty for safety car infringement. Lap 12 and Sergio Perez is involved in another crash with Kevin Magnussen. Sergio Perez is out of the race in Lap 15.
It is Lap 17 and again Lewis Hamilton and George Russell battle it out and Max Verstappen comes to the pits with a 10 second lead of the race . Lap 20 and Oscar Piastri is in P3 ahead of Lando Norris. It is Lap 22 and Fernando Alonso is not happy as Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton and Esteban Ocon. And Lance Stroll is out of the race. Lap 27 of the race and Lando Norris overtakes his teammate Oscar Piastri for P2 and now both McClaren in podium spots. Lap 28 and Alexander Albon is out of the race along with his Williams mate Logan Sargeant. Ferrari are having a good race in Lap 31 as Charles Leclerc is in P4 and Carlos Sainz in P5. Lap 35 and P4 to P7 are filled by Mercedes and Ferrari.
It is Lap 40 and Sergio Perez is back in the race so that he can serve his penalty in this race itself. Oscar Piastri with a good move moves to P3 and Charles Leclerc is 2 seconds behind. Lap 45 of the race and P3 is on as Charles Leclerc is in P4 and Oscar Piastri has to work hard. The race is over and Max Verstappen wins the Japanese Grand Prix and this is a great comeback after a week off at Singapore. Lando Norris is in P2 and Oscar Piastri is in P3 and gets the first podium of his Formula 1 career. Red Bull win the Constructors Championship with a few races to go and Max Verstappen will soon win the Drivers Championship for the 3rd time
