When Bangladesh were busy on their historic completion of whitewash in the three-match home T20I series against the recent T20 WC winners England (two-time men’s T20 WC champions), the 27-year-old Bangladeshi left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman reached the 100 T20I wickets milestone. He became the first left-arm pacer to record 100 T20I wickets.
In that last game of the home T20I series at Mirpur, Mustafizur Rahman had impressive bowling figures of 4-0-14-1, where Bangladesh won by 16 runs (Bangladesh 158/2; England 142/6). To complete his 100 T20I wickets, the left-arm pacer took the crucial wicket of the set opener Dawid Malan (53 in 47 balls).
