AEW WrestleDream 2023 was the latest AEW PPV that was held and it is safe to say that it was one of the best and most newsworthy PPVs ever. Eddie Kingston beat Katsuyori Shibata for ROH World Championship and Strong Openweight Championship
This was the match where both the titles were on the line and this was a 11 minutes match. Both Eddie Kingston and Katsuyori Shibata went to war and they showed that these championships are important for the company. Eddie Kingston won the match and he will be the champion for a long period of time. The fans are liking Eddie Kingston more and more each match
Kris Statlander best Julia Hart for AEW Women’s Championship
This match was for AEW Women’s Championship and this was a very good match but when it is compared to the Extreme Rules Match that happened last night between Becky Lynch vs Tiffany Straton then this feels like a letdown. Kris Statlander won this match and she continues her reign as the champion
The Young Bucks beat The Gunns , The Lucha Brothers and Orange Cassidy and Hook
This match was for the number 1 contenders for the AEW tag team titles. This was one of the best matches of the night and these 4 teams went out there and entertained the fans. The Young Bucks are the foundation for AEW and they won this match and are now the new number 1 contenders for the AEW Tag Team Championship. They had a 13 minutes banger
Swerve Strickland beat Hangman Adam Page
This was the best match in the career of Swerve Strickland. This match was important for him as he had to win this one to have credibility in AEW. They had a 20 minutes barn burner and the fans watching at home and at the arena lost their minds. This match was a turning point in the career of Swerve Strickland and he won the match
Ricky Starks beat Wheeler Yuta
This was yet another Singles match that happened on this show and it was a good match because Ricky Starks does not have a bad match. The fans wished that the women were also given multiple singles matches instead of just one short title match because this screams discrimination against the women. WWE are way ahead as far as the booking of women is concerned. Ricky Starks won this match.
Bryan Danielson beat Zack Sabre Jr
This was the match of the year. Last night on NXT Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes was a match that stole the show but this one surpassed it. It was a dream match and they both delivered as they are the best in the world and for 23 minutes they showed that why they are rated so highly. This was a 6 star match out of 5 and such matches happen rarely in a year. Bryan Danielson won this match
The Don Callis Family beat Chris Jericho and Golden Elite
This was the best 6 man match of the year. The Don Callis Family which had Will Osperay, Konoauke Takeshita and Sammy Guevara beat Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi of the Golden Elite. This was a 22.30 minutes barn burner. These 6 men went out there and beat the heck out of each other and the fans were having a blast. They showed the world that they can have a great match in any setting because they are that good.
FTR beat Aussie Open for AEW World Tag Team Championship
This was the co main event of the evening and as every match of FTR has been , this was also a banger for 20 minutes. This was tag team wrestling at its very best. FTR are operating on another level right now because they cannot have a bad match In this run. And Aussie Open had their biggest match and they showed that they belong on the big stage. This match was a fantastic advertisement of the AEW World Tag Team Titles
Christian Cage beat Darby Allen in 2 out of 3 Falls Match for the AEW TNT Championship
This was the main event of the show and this was a 2 out of 3 Falls Match. These types of matches rarely happens in wrestling and this was a war. Darby Allen brought it to Christian and they battled it out for 25 minutes and this was a blast of a match. Christian Cage was showing even at his age that he is still one of the best in the world and Darby Allen’s stock rose to another level. Christian Cage won the match 2 Falls to 1.
Edge Debuts in AEW
After the match is where the real thing happened which the fans had been hoping for. Edge finally appeared in AEW and he had the same theme song as in WWE. The fans lost their minds and he was in the same ring as Christian and Sting. This was an incredible way to close the show
