During India’s previous game against South Africa, Kohli became the second cricketer (after Mahela Jayawardene) to reach the 1000 runs milestone in the Men’s T20 World Cup history. Now, the Indian right-handed batter is on top of the list of the most runs in Men’s T20 World Cup history.

The Indian teammate and present national team skipper Rohit Sharma is chasing Kohli in the list of leading run-scorer in Men’s T20 World Cup history. Rohit is in the fourth spot in this list with 921 runs in this competition, just behind the West Indies legend Chris Gayle (965 runs).
Just in their last game against South Africa, Rohit became the new record holder of most appearances in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup history.
