bowler Pat Cummins once again shined with a hat-trick against Afghanistan in
their Super 8 match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. It was his second hat-trick
in the ongoing T20 World Cup, as the Aussie pacer recorded a hat-trick in
back-to-back T20 World Cup matches.
Australia started their ICC Men’s
T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 (Group 1) journey with the match against Bangladesh.
While they beat Bangladesh by 28 runs (DLS method), Pat Cummins completed his
first international hat-trick in the span of two overs.
Pat Cummins: First bowler with multiple hat-tricks in the T20 World Cup
Now, in their next game, Cummins took another T20 World Cup hat-trick. Just like his previous hat-trick, he completed his latest T20I hat-trick in the span of two overs. After dismissing Afghan skipper Rashid Khan (2) on the final ball of the 18th over, Cummins started the final over of the innings with the back-to-back wickets of Karim Janat (13) and Gulbadin Naib (0).
