We just experienced the Final of the IPL 2023.
At the end of the competition, we are going through all the official seasonal awards in this tournament.
IPL 2023 started on 31 March 2023, and the Final of the competition was played on 29 May 2023.
While ten tough teams participated in this competition, we experienced a total of 74 matches (including the Playoffs) before the trophy was finally handed to the winners.

Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the IPL 2023 as it was their fifth IPL trophy. In the Final of the tournament, CSK beat the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in a last-ball thriller.
2. Orange Cap
Gujarat Titans’ Shubman Gill won the Orange Cap of the season after finishing the IPL 2023 as the leading run-scorer with 890 runs in 17 innings.
3. Purple Cap
Gujarat Titans’ pacer Mohammed Shami won the Purple Cap of the season after finishing the IPL 2023 as the leading wicket-taker with 28 wickets in 17 innings.
4. Most Valuable Player
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans) – 343.0 MVP points
In the presence of specific points on each detailed performance, the leading point-scorer at the end of each IPL season ultimately wins the Most Valuable Player award of the season. In the IPL 2023, Gujarat Titans’ star Shubman Gill won the Most Valuable Player award after earning 343.0 MVP points.
5. Emerging Player of the Season
Yashasvi Jaiswal (Rajasthan Royals)
In the case of selecting the Emerging Player of the Season award, the winner has been selected by a combination of a public vote on www.iplt20.com and the choice of the television commentators.
Rajasthan Royals’ youngster won the Emerging Player of the Season award in the IPL 2023 for outstanding performances throughout the tournament.
6. Gamechanger of the Season
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans) – 1305 fantasy points
While Gujarat Titans’ cricketer Shubman Gill had many powerful performances throughout the IPL 2023, he accumulated the highest fantasy points of the season (1305 points) to win the Gamechanger of the Season award.
7. Most Sixes
Faf du Plessis (Royal Challengers Bangalore) – 36 sixes
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the Most Sixes award of the IPL 2023 after smashing 36 sixes in the season.
8. Longest Six of the Season
Faf du Plessis (Royal Challengers Bangalore) – 115 meters (Video)
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis also won the Longest Six award of the IPL 2023 by smashing a 115-meter over-boundary to Lucknow Super Giants leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi (during 14.4 overs) during the 15th game of this tournament (at Bengaluru on 10 April 2023).
9. Most Fours
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans) – 85 fours
Gujarat Titans’ cricketer Shubman Gill won the Most Fours award in the IPL 2023. The right-handed batter hit 85 boundaries in this entire competition.
10. Catch of the Season
Rashid Khan (Gujarat Titans) (Video)
Television commentary team members choose the winner of the Catch of the Season award in the IPL. Gujarat Titans’ star Rashid Khan won this award in IPL 2023 for his spectacular catch to dismiss Lucknow Super Giants’ opener Kyle Mayers during the 51st game of the tournament (at Ahmedabad on 7 May 2023).
11. Electric Striker of the Season
Glenn Maxwell (Royal Challengers Bangalore) – 183.48 batting strike rate
A player with the highest batting strike rate at the end of the IPL season wins the Electric Striker of the Season award (at least played 7 matches and faced 100 balls in the season). Royal Challengers Bangalore star Glenn Maxwell won the Electric Striker of the Season award in the IPL 2023 after finishing with a strike rate of 183.48.
12. Fairplay Award
Delhi Capitals – 141 points
Delhi Capitals won the IPL 2023 Fairplay Award after earning the highest points in this category at the end of the season (141 points).
13. Best Venues of the Season
Eden Gardens (Kolkata) and Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai)
Kolkata’s Eden Gardens and Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium jointly won the Best Venues of the Season award at the end of the IPL 2023.
