British Grand Prix 2023 Results

It is time for perhaps the most iconic and the most attended Grand Prix of the year and this year more than 480,000 fans attended the events across the 3 days with more than 175,000 attending race day and it was one of the most exciting races of the season and everyone had a great time. The likes of Brad Pitt, Pep Guardiola, Shakira and many more stars were out there. This race was one of the most important races for this year as well

There were some pleasant surprises and some not so much. So, let’s look at the Results of the British F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone

Race Results

The race starts and Lando Norris takes the lead ahead of Max Verstappen and the crowd go wild as the home town boy is leading. Lap 3 and still Lando Norris is leading the race and DRS will be enabled soon. Lap 5 and Max Verstappen takes the lead of the race and Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are following him. It is Lap 7 and Max Verstappen and the 2 McClaren drivers are fighting at the top and then Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso are fighting for P7. Lap 11 and the first hints of rain in the race and Esteban Ocon retires from the race. It is Lap 15 and Sergio Perez is at P11 from P15 at the start.

Oscar Piastri is putting in a great performance in Lap 17 and Charles Leclerc is 4 seconds behind at number 4. Lap 19 and Charles Leclerc pits in the race as George Russell is coming from behind to take his place. It us Lap 21 and George Russell has taken the call to stay on soft tyres as the others have pitted and there are dark skies which means rain. Max Verstappen is 5.5 seconds ahead of Lando Norris in Lap 25. All the top drivers have not yet pitted in anticipation of the rain and George Russell gets to P11. Lap 27 and Carlos Sainz is the first driver to pit for hard tyres with the others likely following suit. Lap 32 and George Russell overtakes Charles Leclerc with a great move as Max Verstappen and Lando Norris have yet to pit in this race

Kevin Magnussen has his car burnt and it ya a safety car which means that Lewis Hamilton is up to P3 with his soft tyres and Lando Norris gets the hard ones in the pit. Lap 39 and the safety car is over and Max Verstappen takes the lead of the race with Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton having an incredible battle for P2. It is Lap 40 and Lando Norris defends perfectly against Lewis Hamilton and the fans are loving seeing 2 home boys battling it out respectfully. Lap 42 and still Lewis Hamilton is putting pressure on the young Lando Norris and George Russell is trying to get past Oscar Piastri. This is absolutely fascinating and incredible racing. Lap 44 and Sergio Perez gets past Carlos Sainz and then Alexander Albon and Charles Leclerc get past him in the same lap.

Lap 46 and Lando Norris is ahead of the DRS range of Lewis Hamilton which could prove useful for him to get a P2 finish in this race as Lewis Hamilton is on soft tyres. And Pierre Gasly is out of the race as well and it is the worst possible day for Alpine. It is Lap 48 and Lance Stroll crashed into Pierre Gasly and it was not a neat move. Is us Lap 50 and Max Verstappen is just laps away from his 6th straight win and Lando Norris is looking good for a season best P2 and Lewis Hamilton is at P3. Lap 52 and the race concludes and the Top 3 is as it was a few laps ago but Oscar Piastri has a career best P4.
