Recently, the Maldives vs Thailand T20I match experienced the lowest T20I aggregated total by falling 20 wickets. During that low-scoring game, Thailand bowler Kamron Senamontree recorded a T20I hat-trick.
It was the 10th game of the Quadrangular T20I series in Malaysia where Maldives and Thailand faced each other at Bangi. After the Maldives were bowled out for just 97 runs in 19.3 overs, the toss winners Thailand were bundled out for only 56 runs in 16.5 overs.
Maldives opener and skipper Azyan Farhath was the only batter in the game to score 20+ runs as he scored 24 off 40 balls with a four and a six.
Maldives’ successful defending 97-run was the fourth lowest completed T20I total to successfully defend.

Meanwhile, only 153 runs were scored in that entire T20I before losing out all the 20 wickets of the match. It was the new lowest aggregated T20I total where all the 20 wickets fell. The previous lowest record was 161 runs between Nigeria (90) vs Sierra Leone (71) at Lagos on 24th October 2021.
Kamron Senamontree became the 1st Thailand bowler to claim T20I hat-trick
In the meantime, the 22-year-old Thailand right-arm pacer Kamron Senamontree claimed a T20I hat-trick. During the 19th over of the first innings, Senamontree dismissed Ibrahim Hassan (1), Ibrahim Rizan (0) and Leem Shafeeg (0) in three successive deliveries to complete his maiden T20I hat-trick. It was also the first time when a Thailand bowler recorded a T20I hat-trick. Senamontree finished that game with the bowling figures of 4-0-19-4 as he earlier also took the wicket of Hassan Rasheed (14).
