SummerSlam 2022 is almost 40 days away but it is time to do an early predictions article for one of the biggest shows of the year and the main event for the show has already been announced and now we can start preparing as to how the card will look like on July 30 in Nashville.
SummerSlam will happen at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee and it has a capacity of upwards of 65,000 so it will be a huge show for WWE and a lot of top matches will be there on the card.
I hope that at least there are 3 Women’s Matches on this show and the women are able to show the lovely people of Nashville what they are capable of. So , with all that being said, let's try to predict the show and have some fun along the way.
Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar- Last Man Standing Match for WWE Undisputed Universal Championship
This is the one match that has been announced for the show and this was not the planned Roman Reigns match on this show as he was supposed to face Randy Orton at this show and the story was built well but Randy got a serious back injury and he is out for the rest of the year so Brock Lesnar returned last Friday and now we have a last man standing match between these 2 men and this was the only way they could have made this match interesting and although some people may not like it but this match will sell tickets like always.
Matches that could happen
John Cena vs Theory – United States Championship
This is a match that is very much a lock as John Cena is returning in 1 week and Theory has been the new prodigy and Theory has been going after John Cena for a long time so it’s time for John to give him some of his mind. And I have no doubt that we will see this match at SummerSlam and it will be a great career highlight for Theory as John Cena was his favorite Wrestler of all time.
Ronda Rousey vs Bayley – SmackDown Women’s Championship
The SmackDown Women’s Championship needs a big match and I think Bayley will return at Money in the bank and it could be in the Women’s MITB or after the Ronda Rousey match , I would like her to win MITB and cash in on Ronda Rousey immediately at SummerSlam for a match for the title and this will be a match worthy of SummerSlam.
Pat McAfee vs Happy Corbin
Pat McAfee and Happy Corbin have started a new feud this Friday and this is a great way to get Pat McAfee to wrestle at SummerSlam and there is a great story to be told as they can go into their history and their bad blood over the past year and have a great match and all fans will be very excited for this match and Pat McAfee will again put on a show.
Gunther vs Sheamus vs Drew McIntyre – Intercontinental Championship
Three big meaty men slappin meat for the Intercontinental Championship will be a blast for SummerSlam and Gunther needs a big match at a big show to solidify his title reign and who better than Drew and Sheamus to have a triple Threat banger and then build up to Gunther vs Sheamus at Clash of the Castle in the UK. This match should be added at SummerSlam.
Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch vs Asuka vs Rhea Ripley – Raw Women’s Championship
This is the show stealer for me as 4 of the best women will be going at it for the Raw Women’s title and I think this should be the match so that all 4 women can get on this show and show the world what they can do with a Fatal Four Way match with 4 of the best wrestlers in women’s Wrestling. Bianca Belair will have her biggest challenge to date and she will be in real danger of losing the title.
Edge vs Finn Balor
This is a no brainer of a match as The Judgement Day took out Edge from their group and replaced him with Finn Balor and Edge will be back to his original form as the face we all love. This match will be a wrestling classic if it happens and it will be brutal as well as there was backstabbing. I am really excited for this match to happen.
A tournament for the WWE women’s tag team titles
There will be a tournament leading into SummerSlam where the final match of the tournament will take place to crown new women’s tag team champions and I know that Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan will he in that match at SummerSlam because they are the hottest new team in the women’s division and WWE should call up superstars from NXT to participate in this tournament.
The Usos vs Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens – WWE Undisputed tag team championship
This is the second last match on my prediction and this makes so much sense as Sami Zayn is trying to he an honorary member of the bloodline and they keep disrespecting him and Sami has had enough and he seeks the help of his best friend Kevin Owens who will hopefully be over that Ezekiel story and they will challenge the Usos at SummerSlam.
Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles
This Is the last match on my Predictions list and Seth Rollins is Mr SummerSlam so he will have a match but against whom? AJ Styles seems like the perfect opponent because they are both incredible Wrestlers and they might have the best match on the show and this is a dream match whenever it happens. SummerSlam is looking stacked according to my Predictions so let’s see how many come to pass and are a part of the show.
