WrestleMania 39 Day 2 Results

The second day of WrestleMania 39 is in the books and it is fair to say that this was by far the most controversial night out of the two. There were a total of 8 Matches on the card this time as well and certain WWE superstars were not happy with the creative direction they were given and it will be very interesting to see what happens on Raw this Monday as this is the biggest Raw of the year.

Out of the 2 nights, it can be said that night one was the better night and the overall match quality was better in night one as compared to night two. The WWE Universe was very unhappy with some booking decisions in night two.

So, let’s look at the Results of Day 2 of WrestleMania 39:

Brock Lesnar beat Omos

This was the first match of the night and it was exactly what it needed to be. This was different from anything else that was there in the WrestleMania card. Brock Lesnar vs Omos was great and it was only 5 minutes where Omos was dominating Brock Lesnar for most of the match but Brock made a comeback and hit 3 German Suplexes and one of the best F5s he has ever delivered and even in defeat Omos was made a star and the fans who were doubtful about Omos have now become believers in him.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler won the Women’s WrestleMania Showcase Match

It is safe to say that this was the weakest match on the entire WrestleMania card including both nights. The Men’s WrestleMania showcase was such a blast with every team getting to showcase their skills but the women’s match was underwhelming as nobody came out better and it was only set up to make Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler win and that is exactly what happened and now it will interesting to see whether it will be Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch but for the tag team titles.

Bobby Lashley came out with the Andre The Giant Trophy

Next was Bobby Lashley who came out with his recently won Andre the Giant Trophy and it was such a shame that he was not able to have a match on the WrestleMania card as he was one of the best Wrestlers in the world and Triple H should have allowed Bobby Lashley to have an open challenge and LA Knight or Randy Orton could have come out as a surprise.

Gunther beat Sheamus and Drew McIntyre for Intercontinental Championship

This was the next match on the show and today the expectations from this match were sky high would be an understatement because these were 3 of the best in the world and every WWE fan was excited to see these 3 tear it up. And what the WWE Universe got at WrestleMania was the best match on the show and the best Intercontinental Championship Match in WrestleMania in the last 30 years. They had a 17 minute match but it was so good that the fans were on their feet the whole time and these men were beating the rare out of each other and hitting each other with Chops, big moves and so many near falls. At the end it was Gunther who won the match and most likely he will become the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time.

A total of 16 Matches were on the card out of which 3 were a surprise and 2 out of those 3 were very entertaining and 1 was very unfortunate what happened. So, let’s look at the last results of WrestleMania 39

Bianca Belair beat Asuka for Raw Women’s Championship

This was the match that followed the incredible Intercontinental Championship Match and any two Wrestlers could have followed that classic. It was Bianca Belair vs Asuka. Both of these women are great In ring workers and they used all their skills and experience to have a great match. It was a 16 minute classic and before the match Bianca Belair had an incredible entrance with little girls from LA and Triple H told everyone that the smallest kid lost her mother today and still she performed at WrestleMania was awesome. The match was fast paced and both women were getting the better of each other and at the end Bianca Belair used her power to hit the KOD on Asuka and now she is 3-0 at WrestleMania.

Shane McMahon vs The Miz ended in a no contest

After this match it was The Miz and Snoop Dogg who were in the ring and once again Snoop Dogg surprised Miz with the shock return of Shane McMahon who got a huge pop from the WrestleMania crowd and they had a match but it was very short as Shane McMahon tore his quad Muscle and the match was a no contest but that was not the end.

Snoop Dogg beat The Miz

After Shane McMahon got injured badly, Snoop Dogg used his mind and he put himself in a match against The Miz and the crowd was loving it as it was not planned and Snoop Dogg hit a couple of punches and then he hit the greatest People’s Elbow of all time as he ran so slow across the ring and he won the match and now Snoop Dogg has a win at WrestleMania as the Doggfather.

Edge beat Finn Balor inside Hell in a Cell

This was the second to last match on the show and the entrances before this match were both great as Brood Edge was back and The Demon was back as well and this was a very good match with brutality fit for Hell in a Cell as Edge and Finn Balor went on to tell a great story as The Demon would not be put down no matter what and the match was going well but then Finn Balor got hit in the head with the chair and blood was pouring from his face and the match resumed but was over in a few minutes as it was clear that Finn Balor was not able to continue for much longer. It was an 18 minutes classic.

Roman Reigns beat Cody Rhodes for Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

This was not the result anyone was expecting as it was clear that Cody Rhodes was the guy who would beat Roman Reigns and become the next big star in WWE. The entrances for this match were main event worthy as Cody Rhodes got the biggest Cheer from the fans and Roman Reigns had a piano entrance for WrestleMania. The match was 35 minutes long and it was an all time classic no matter the outcome. Both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes showed that they are the 2 top WWE superstars in the world and they had such close calls where both kicked out before 3 and Solo Sikoa got involved as did the Usos shd Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. It was looking like Cody Rhodes was going to win the titles but Solo Sikoa again hit Cody Rhodes from behind which led to Roman Reigns hitting the running spear and he won the match. Now surely he will hit 100/ days as Champion and WWE was unwilling to pass on this opportunity because it might never come again but hopefully they have something really special for Cody Rhodes in the future starting from the Raw after WrestleMania tonight.
