WrestleMania 39 was supposed to be the final match in the historic reign of Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes was all set to be made the new Undisputed Universal Champion but something happened which shocked everyone and Roman Reigns beat Cody Rhodes to retain his title. Roman Reigns is all set to hit 1000 days as Universal Champion and it will be for the first time in more than 35 years that a World Champion will hit 1000 days in a single reign. Roman Reigns is truly the head of the table.
After WrestleMania 39, the main question was who will be next to challenge Roman Reigns or one can say who will acknowledge the Tribal Chief because if Cody Rhodes could not beat Roman Reigns then no one anytime soon will be able to beat him.
So, let’s look at the potential list of new challengers for Roman Reigns to smash after WrestleMania 39 and these will be in no particular order:
Sheamus
Sheamus has been doing great work in the past year and more and he has been in the mid card challenging for the Intercontinental Championship and he deserves to step up to the main event and challenge Roman Reigns and that match will be a fresh match in the reign of Roman Reigns and it will be a hard hitting match and Sheamus is a beloved face and the fans love him. He might not win the match but Sheamus will be amongst the top WWE superstars once again and it will be another Banger.
LA Knight
LA Knight has been in the main roster for a year and he has become so over with the fans and he is an incredible wrestler as well and LA Knight is someone that can be the perfect opponent for Roman Reigns as he will be great on the microphone and Match Roman Reigns promo for promo and the fans will eat up this match. LA Knight will be someone who will achieve big things in the future and a match against Roman Reigns will do him a world of good and he will be elevated just by being in the ring with him. Will the match will be a classic? YEAH
Gunther
Gunther is the Intercontinental Champion now but it will not be long that he will make the move to the main event and Roman Reigns will be Champion by then and Gunther will be in a position to be a real challenger to Roman Reigns at that time and the fans will wonder whether he can be the one to beat Roman Reigns and Roman Reigns will also be wary of him because he has not been beaten till now and Gunther can have a physical match and he will chop Roman Reigns purple and they will have a 40 minutes match and Gunther will become a bigger star than he is now.
Jey Uso
Jey Uso is the match that is bound to happen at some time and slowly WWE is building towards the third match in the trilogy between these two cousins. Jey Uso is with the Bloodline now and he is a heel against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens and in between Sami Zayn talks to Jey Uso and the things that Sami says is absolutely right and WWE is doing a great job of making Jey Uso a star and when the match happens then that match will be one of the biggest of all time. Jey Uso might be the one to beat Roman Reigns.
Seth Rollins
The last name in this list is none other than Seth Rollins and Seth Rollins is the one who could wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in the main event as both of the wrestlers have said that they would like to face each other at WrestleMania 40 and the story to this match will be absolutely perfect and it will get personal and both men will beat the heck out of each other and Seth Rollins could finally be the one to end th streak of Roman Reigns and the fans will he extremely happy. Seth Rollins is the perfect man to dethrone the Tribal Chief.
