This is a topic that I have wanted to write about for a long time and finally today I am getting the chance to write. This is a question that has been raised in different ways but I think these 2 names that we will be talking about today represent consistency in WWE more than anything and they have had the greatest careers in WWE history. These 2 have been at the top of WWE for more than a decade each and so it is important that we ask the question who out of these 2 has been the most consistent one.
Before we get into this article I just want to say that I love and respect both Roman Reigns and John Cena equally and they both have been a very important part of my WWE fandom and they have been the faces of WWE for a very long time and Roman Reigns will continue being that face for years more. So, let’s look at both of them and decide which one we prefer
John Cena
We will start with the veteran and someone that was the face of WWE from the early 2000s till the mid 2010s. John Cena was the face of WWE and everything revolved around him and he was the champion for most of his run in the top. He was also an incredible wrestler and John was someone who would represent WWE outside as well with class and thus the WWE brand would grow a lot. He was the top merchandise seller as well as the kids and ladies loved him and the men hated him. John Cena could have a great match with anybody and his promo skills were out of this world. He ruled WWE for almost 15 years whereas Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock were at the top for 3-4 years each.

Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is the current face of WWE and he has been the top guy since 2013 and it has been 9 years at the top for Roman Reigns and in this time he has been so consistent as he has held titles throughout his career and he was a great wrestler first in The Shield and then as a singles star and in 2014 he got his breakout moment and in 2015 he main evented his first WrestleMania and this was the start of something great as he main evented WrestleMania again in 2016, 2017 and 2018 which was 4 years in a row. The fans did not like him but since the moment he turned heel and became the Tribal Chief he has been at another level. Roman Reigns again main evented WrestleMania 37 and 38 and it is certain that he will again main event WrestleMania 39 which means 3 back to back yet again but this time no one is complaining as he is the biggest star in WWE.
Who has been the most consistent?
Both John Cena and Roman Reigns have been incredibly consistent for WWE when they were at the top. John Cena was the face of WWE for 25 years and during that time he won 16 World Championships and multiple WrestleMania main events. Roman Reigns has been at the top for 10 years but has 6 WrestleMania main events to his name and he has a few years left in him. However for me John Cena is the greatest of all time and without his efforts there would not be a Roman Reigns. So, John Cena is the most consistent superstar in WWE history.
