This list is the biggest shows in WWE History and the attendance figures of all the shows prove one thing and that is that WWE is one of the biggest crowd pullers in the world and they will only grow from strength to strength and as a lifelong WWE fan these give me immense satisfaction. The records will be mentioned below but lets discuss how WWE came to this point that they have such huge attendance figures. Vince McMahon is a genius because he converted what was considered a taboo sport and nobody wanted to watch it into a commercial entity that all the celebrities want to be associated with and large crowds flock to these shows.
The highest attended WWE show ever is more than 100,000 people and that is as good as the other sports big shows around the world like the Superbowl or the FIFA World Cup final etc and WWE is in those big leagues and the figures which I will tell you in a little while will make every WWE fan Happy and hopefully these records get broken in the future. So, let’s see the Top 5 Attendance Records in WWE History.
WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas Texas – 101,763
This show is the most attended WWE show of all time and it was at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas Texas with over 101,763 fans attending the record breaking event and the year was 2016. This show was hosted by The Rock and so a lot of fans brought tickets just to see the great one in front of their eyes and the matches on this card were good with Triple H vs Roman Reigns and Shane McMahon vs The Undertaker in Hell in a cell etc. The WWE fans made history that night as they beat the long standing attendance record from 29 years ago.
WrestleMania 3 at Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac Michigan – 93,173
Before the record was broken at WrestleMania 32, the WWE attendance record was held by WrestleMania 3 with 93,173 fans at the Silverdome where Hulk Hogan took on Andre The Giant and WWE history was changed forever when Hulk Hogan picked up Andre and body slammed him to the mat and beat him and a new star was made that night. This will always be a historic show in WWE History.
WrestleMania 35 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford New Jersey- 82, 265
At number 3 is one of my recent favorite WrestleMania events and this is where Three stars were etched in history and no WWE fan thought that all three would win titles that night n First Seth Rollins best Brock Lesnar to win the Universal Championship, then later in the night KofiMania went wild as Kofi Kingston became the first African American WWE champion in history and everyone lost their minds and in the first women’s main event in WrestleMania history it was Becky Lynch who won all the gold.
WrestleMania 29 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford New Jersey - 80,676
The fourth event on this list is another WrestleMania event that was held at the MetLife Stadium and this WrestleMania saw a lot of nif things and all the fans enjoyed it. The Rock vs John Cena was the main event for the WWE championship and Undertaker went against CM Punk and Triple H faced Brock Lesnar so the card was strong and all the 80,676 fans had a good time.
SummerSlam 1992 at Wembley Stadium in London England – 80,355
The fifth show on this list is a very special one as it was the only big UK show to happen in WWE History and it was at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London and more than 80,355 fans flocked to see history in front of their eyes and they had come to see the main event which was Bret Hart vs The British Bulldog and the Bulldog won the Intercontinental Championship in the main event of SummerSlam. Now that the Principality Stadium in Cardiff will get another WWE stadium show hopefully it will beat this record.
