Now that we have talked about the 4 main matches of this year’s Royal Rumble in separate articles, it would be unfair if we don’t talk about the other matches that are announced or could be announced during the road to one of the biggest shows of the WWE year. It looks like WWE is stacking the show this year to make up for the lost 2 years due to the Covid pandemic and this is very exciting news for all the WWE fans.
Other than the 4 main matches in the show, there are Matches featuring some of the top WWE talent and the fans are excited about most of these matches as they will get to see returning legends compete and Becky Lynch put her title on the line as well as other prospective matches that could be added. Let’s look at what the announced matches are and what other matches could be added.
Becky Lynch vs Doudrop- Raw Women’s championship
Any match featuring Big Time Becks is a big match on any show and especially the Royal Rumble which has been very kind to her in the past so the fans can expect yet another great match by Becky Lynch. The interesting part of this match is the Challenger of this match , Doudrop or previously known as Piper Niven , she has become one of the most improved superstars in the roster and her wrestling abilities have only known from what they were before and the fact that she has been given such a huge opportunity in her career at such a big show shows the faith the WWE has in her and her abilities and there’s no doubt that Becky Lynch will help her through the match and make her a star at the end of it.

Edge and Beth Phoenix vs Mix and Maryse
This mixed tag team match is a dream come true for many of the WWE fans as they will get to see Edge and Beth Phoenix team up as a couple for the first time ever and the return of Beth Phoenix as an active competitor yet again is extremely exciting not just for the fans but also for the countless WWE women wrestlers who have said that she is their dream match. And to see Miz and Maryse together is so much fun as they annoy everyone and both of them compliment each other so well and make each other better. So, or will be a very exciting match to watch and I have a feeling that Beth Phoenix will destroy Miz as well because she can.

Likely matches to be added
The Usos vs Viking Raiders- SmackDown Tag Team Championship
The Viking Raiders recently won a number 1 contender match to earn a shot at the Usos and most likely will be at the Royal Rumble PPV event as The Usos are on such a roll right now that WWE would want a great tag team match at the Royal Rumble and the Viking Raiders are a very good tag team and them both can create magic together at the Royal Rumble and the Usos will win the match as they are unstoppable right now.

Sami Zayn vs Shinsuke Nakamura- WWE Intercontinental Championship
This is one match that can be the sleeper hit of the Royal Rumble as not many people seem to be talking about it considering their glorious history in NXT together. Sami Zayn is one of the best wrestlers even though his character is kind of a joker , he does everything so well , be it heel or a face and Shinsuke Nakamura is on a roll right now but he has not done much with the Intercontinental Championship so it seems the title will change hands at the Royal Rumble in a match that could steal the show and show why both these elite performers are such great storytellers.
