The tag team titles are such an important part of WWE history and there have been some truly incredible tag team champions in its history and to choose the Top 5 is a very difficult task but one where the best of the best will make this list. This list will be full of the greatest tag teams in WWE history and these teams have had legendary title Reigns as well.

1) The Usos
The Usos are one of the only wrestlers in WWE who had the longest tag team title reign but it was the best of all time as well similar to Roman Reigns. The Usos held the tag team titles for 622 days but they were not sitting idle for those 622 days but they elevated the tag team titles with their sheer hard work and they had some of the best tag team matches in history against the likes of The New Day, The Viking Raiders, The Street Profits, Alpha Academy and they beat them all and they defended the tag team titles a lot and at WrestleMania 39 when they lost those Titles it was worth it as it was in the main event of WrestleMania.
2) The New Day
It would be very unfair to The New Day If they are put any lower than number 2 and it was very close between them and The Usos but the one reign that The Usos had eclipsed then to the number 1 spot but make no mistake The New Day is easily one of the greatest tag teams of all time. It has been 10 years since they have been a team and they have won the tag team titles 11 times which is a record in WWE breaking the record of The Dudley Boys who had it 10 times. All of their reigns were great but the one where they held the titles for 483 days was where they achieved the legend status as they beat everyone during their reign and their rivalry with The Usos was something which elevated the tag team division.
3) The Hardy Boys
One of the all time great tag teams in the history of WWE and wrestling as a whole. They have been the team that so many young tag teams have looked upto as to how to become such a legendary and a dominant tag team. The Hardy Boys have been a tag team for more than 20 years and they have changed WWE forever as they brought the TLC Match, the tag team ladder match and they were champions for 7 times and their rivalries with The Dudley Boys and Edge and Christian shaped the future of tag team wrestling. They had some amazing reigns and they will always be in the hearts of all WWE fans.
4) The Heart Foundation
The Hart Foundation was the team of Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart and these two were the best tag team in the 1980s and early 1990s . These two were incredible singles wrestlers as well as they were a regular of the tag team division and st that time WWE did not such great tag teams so this was the first such team that the WWE could build it’s tag team division around. They had 2 tag team title reigns and they lasted from 1985 to 1991 and this shows that no other team at that time were at that level and that The Hart Foundation were important to the development of the tag team division and the one Reign that they had in 1985 was one where they brought many other tag teams to the fore and that reign was a legendary one
5) The Dudley Boys
This list would be incomplete without mentioning The Dudley Boys as they have been the winningest tag team in history and not just WWE . They have won a total of 30 tag team titles across the world from WWE to NWA to ECW. The Dudley Boys just like The Hardy Boys were instrumental in bringing the tag team division to the top and they had some of the best title Reigns of all time and without them there might not be a healthy tag team division today so all WWE fans are thankful to The Dudley Boys. They held the record for having 10 tag team title reigns in WWE but that was recently broken by The New Day.
