This match with Kevin Owens does not have a good story but the caliber of wrestlers in this match will ensure the match quality will be top tier. Kevin Owens is fighting his urges to not turn heel but he will do so at Bash in Berlin after the match. This match should get 25+ minutes to be a match of the year contender.
Gunther vs Randy Orton for World Heavyweight Championship
This match will most probably be the main event of the PPV. Gunther is on the poster of this PPV and the fans will come to see him. This will be a rematch from King of the Ring Final where Gunther beat Randy Orton but the right shoulder of Randy was not on the ground. This will be an instant classic. Gunther has made this personal by talking about the father and grandfather of Randy Orton. The story going into this match is great and they should get 30 minutes to have a banger. This will be a clash of 2 styles in the ring as it will be the physical style of Gunther and the slow and methodical style of Randy Orton.
Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley vs Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio
This is a mixed tag team match. It is a rarity that a mixed tag team match is held on a PPV. And one where the story has been absolutely phenomenal. The break-up of The Judgement Day has been the best story on Raw and Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley want revenge because they were betrayed by their own. Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio are the perfect heels because they run away from everything and they will have the new Judgement Day ringside for their match. This will be a match in which the crowd will be heavily invested in cheering for the Terror Twins Damian and Rhea.
Nia Jax vs Michin for WWE Women’s Championship
This will be the second women’s match on the show. It will be Nia Jax vs Michin and this will be a match that will be a well earned reward for Michin for all the work she has put in over the past few months in WWE. This show needed this match because it was getting male dominated. Nia Jax has just won the title at SummerSlam so this will be a great first challenger. Michin will have to wrestle her best match to get more such opportunities.
CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match
This will be the second match that these two men will have against each other. The first match was at SummerSlam and it was a great match. Drew McIntyre won that match and ever since CM Punk has been torturing Drew McIntyre and they will have round 2 in a strap match. This will be better than their first match because they will have found their in ring chemistry and they will get 20+ minutes to steal the show. The 13,500 fans in Berlin will cheer for CM Punk. The promo work and the social media work in this feud has been incredible.
Jey Uso and Sami Zayn vs Finn Balor and JD McDonough for World Tag Team Championship
This match has been teased by Jey Uso for a few weeks and it looks like this will finally happen at Bash in Berlin. The other members of The Judgement Day being Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio will be busy for their match. This will give Jey Uso and Sami Zayn a fair chance to win the tag team titles. The fans have absolutely loved this duo and these two will be an important part of The Bloodline storyline when a face Roman Reigns tries to win their trust back and reform the original Bloodline. Bash in Berlin could be one of the best WWE PPVs of the year.
