Wrestling storylines are made up of many components to sell the plot of the story. But what makes these storylines so intriguing are the characters playing the part. These characters are known as babyfaces and heels.

Some wrestlers are way better at being the persistent, courageous babyface (good guy), while some wrestlers are a natural at being the self-centered jerk (bad guy).

Here are 5 wrestlers who are way better at being heels.

  1. Mark Henry

Though most people credit this to his "Hall of Pain" gimmick in 2011, Mark Henry will forever be known as one of the most destructive forces of WWE over the past 20 years. Every time his music hit, you knew somebody was going to get it! Henry makes this list simply because of his ability to talk the talk, and actually back it up. On the September 16th, 2011 edition of "The Cutting Edge" He told everyone that come Sunday, he would be World Heavyweight Champion. He did exactly that in a tremendous fashion against Randy Orton at Night of Champions 2011.

He was a big part of the Attitude, Ruthless Aggression, and PG eras and we have to credit that to his amazing heel work.

  1. Edge

For me, this one is the most obvious. From turning on his tag team partner in 2004 to costing Randy Orton a chance at the WWE Championship in 2010, I personally loved these, and every single one of Edge's heel turns. Not so much being in love with Vicki Guerrero but you get my drift. He's so good at being the villain; I'd be willing to bet that it's hard to see him greet you with a smile in person. Each time he was a heel, he had that extra edginess (no pun intended). Also, people cared more about his character and were more invested in what he had to say.

Edge will forever hold a place in the hearts of wrestling fans and will forever be known as one of the best heels to grace the stage of World Wrestling Entertainment.

  1. The Miz

The Miz is, and always will be better as a heel because of his ability to draw heat. Recently, if we're being honest, he is responsible for keeping the Intercontinental Championship relevant for the past couple of years. A big part of that was because people wanted to see someone take it off of him. Why? Because people absolutely Love to hate,The Miz. Most people enjoy The Miz' heelish tactics and big mouth not only because he's one of the best talkers in WWE, but because his amazing in-ring work balances it out so perfectly.

The Miz is the perfect example that a heel turn can save someone's career in the absolute best of ways. He's an 8-time Intercontinental Champion and he has a lot to show for it.

  1. Neville

Neville was a face all throughout his time in NXT, and some of his main roster run as well. He is a perfect example that it's not so much about your skill, but how you are booked. He was "The Man That Gravity Forgot" for a reason. The main reason everyone went so crazy over the Neville heel turn was that it felt like we waited an eternity for it to happen. Another reason everyone loved it so much, at least for me, was because it was apparent that he could then showcase his talent on a more transparent level. I say that he is the one and ONLY King of the Cruiserweights.

  1. Randy Orton

Randy Orton was one of the BEST heels of the Ruthless Aggression Era, and he continues to impress us wrestling fans when he turns, keeping us invested in his character. Every single time he switches from good guy to bad guy, he finds new ways to keep us on the edge of our seats. He is another one of those wrestlers that take to this persona so naturally. His voice, his appearance, and the fact that he hears voices in his head really sells it. Despite playing a character that is a borderline psychopath, everyone loves him for it, especially when he's a heel.
